Nope. Play the demo. There's something off about the ball, like it doesn't spin at all or something.

when i play the demo, I don't focus on the ball, but rather how fluid the animation is.

the problem with realistic animations though... is it takes the responsiveness out of the controls.

When i play sports games like NBA2k11, i dont feel like im really in that much control of the player... more like im sort of just influencing what he does. They can be pretty, but are far from fun to play imo.

that said... the animations do look very fluid and realistic.

Photorealistic graphics never works outside still images.

Take Crysis, there are a ton of images on that game where you basically can't see if it's real life or not but as soon as you play the game that illusion crashes hard.

It makes for a more realistic experience. I like how the players actually have momentum. When I play basketball in real life, I wish I could have complete control of myself, but I have to deal with gravity and momentum. Sounds silly huh.

Holy crap that is detailed. They really changed up their entire graphics engine. It looks so clean and real... so many animations on the screen... so much movement... it's crazy.

It does look incredibly fluid from that video. I'll have to download the demo to see if that actually translates well into gameplay though.

That looks really good and fluid. But you can still see some of those robotic animations at some parts. Mixed in with the fluid parts, doesnt look right.

Wow! looks exactly like 2K10. Maybe they should fix their physics system and AI instead of just focusing on polishing the visuals and adding a million features. I don't mind the updates, but the game at it's core is broken and people ignore it because of it's smooth animations and game play.

2k sports graphics are awful. the game is hardly photo real. elite/nba live is worse. Honestly i think the games graphics for both have gotten worse since they both debuted to start the generation.

Wow! That guy who did all of that that totally got some skills. It definitely seems pretty photo realistic to me because that's exactly how Kobe works the basketball court when he's playing and when it's all being broadcasted -- so color me impressed.

I love that video :P

While fluid for the most part, that is far from "most photo realisitc game ever." /trigger PC fanboy mode

3 years later and Crysis/Cryengine 2 is still king.

Im not amazed, some of the animations are a little off, and players still look like they are gliding on the floor sometimes. It does look fun to play though.

Wow, you can't say anything great about the looks of a game without the mighty Crysis being thrown in there! I thought the game looked amazing, and they did an exceptional job with the character models, and the representation of the real life counterparts. I'm sure it isn't easy to get all those NBA players facial features to look as good as they do in this game. Crysis is a very good looking game, but I think the the topic was more about how real, or true to life these characters look when compared to their real players.

Heh. It has awesome animations and really really poor animations. Watching the players stop on a dime after going full speed and turn running the other way for one.

Judging from the video it looks like 2k8-2k10 just with more fluid animations. Regardless if 2k6 is the last one you've played than good luck because I think that was the last one that I liked either that or 2k7.
