, Icon passing is instant (again) in 2k12 there was a noticeable delay.
physics engine (supposedly according to 2k) making it harder for less skilled players to drive to the paint ultimate team up (before just team up/versus)
jumpshot feedback is back for the online version of the game.

new boxing out system (little guy can't box out a big very much anymore)
bounce pass (widely underrated imo, u can actually choose between that and a regular pass) removal of pump fake exploit (that kinda went down with 2k12 too tho).
New dribble system (takes some time gettnig used to, u have to hold LT or L2 to dunk/layup with right stick) better defensive system compared to 2k12, in 2k12 if you wanted to get by someone-you were going to usually. You stand a chance, but i still think they should tweak the sliders online for contested shots.
My player is now more rpgish in experience (if you enjoy the single player part of the game) Just a lot of minor stuff like,
You're not going to block a guy from behind very often (in reality it does not happen alot).
Bigs are slower than the perimeter guys (in 2k11 and 2k12 to a lesser degree you could get away with it at times).
You can feel being faster playing as guys like westbrook/rose.
It's a variety/ bunch of little things, But it's different compared to 2k12.. Again, i'd suggest downloading the demo to at least see how it is. I didn't enjoy 2k12, I really enjoy this so far.
It's really amazing how far 2k has gone with the basketball games. 2k11 was what got me into the 2k nba series. I didn't really play sports games before hand.
