@zeeshanhaider: Remember that gif you posted earlier, that's everybody again reading your post lol.
Yeah, cows can pretend or put up that act but the reality is just like I said before. Don't believe me? Look at the post above.

So here's the new list of confirmed Native 4K titles coming to PS4 Pro:
- The Last Of Us Remastered (Native 4K@30FPS with the best shadows)
- Smite (Native 4K@60FPS)
- The Elder Scroll Online (Native 4K@30FPS with enhanced details over PS4 version)
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition Edition (Native 4K@30FPS)
- Mantis Burn Racing (Native 4K@60FPS / Native 4K@30FPS for 4 player split-screen)
- Wheels of Aurelia (Native 4K@60FPS)
- Futuridium EP Deluxe (Native 4K@60FPS)
- forma.8 (Native 4K@60FPS + 8xMSAA )
- Rez Infinite (Native 4K@60FPS)
- Hustle Kings (Native 4K@60?FPS)
- Thumper (Native 4K@60?FPS)
- NBA 2K17 (Native 4K@60FPS + HDR)
Honestly, I thought they'd all be upscaled like the Xbox One S when the Pro was a rumor.
holy shiz the xbox team better get moving on 4k pretty soon
Damn! Naughty Duds really are garbage devs they still can't get this last gen title to run at 60 FPS after 2 remasters.
As opposed to the 0fps it runs at on other platforms....
The classic butthurt Sony drone reply. By the way, WRONG! Ir runs@30FPS on PC. Didn't you know Sony released all its PS3 library on PC via PSNow!
Wait wait wait wait. XBox games are not multiplat when they are on PC, because they run in the XBox app. But PS games ARE multiplat when they run on PS3 hardware and stream to your PC?

Who said they run on PS3 hardware? They run on a custom hardware, first of all. Second, do I need a PS3 any more to play that? Thank you! Oh, I never called any multiplat exclusive before, take your battle someplace else. I only call titles that are only available on one platform as exclusives.

They run on custom hardware, yest - but it is PS3 hardware, restructured into a new pcb format for the server farm. Look it up. And no, you don't need to own a PS3 to play... you don't need to own and X1 to play on the XBox app either - that's kind of the point. Regardless, my apologies if I've confused you with one of the others who was making the case about XBox games on PC being non-multiplat. Whether that is or isn't accurate wasn't my issue - it was the inconsistent application of the rule in the case of PSNow here - but again, I think that was a different set of warriors pushing that point
@oflow: Not for this game. There will probably be 10 million Pro unit's sold by the time Scorpio launches. It will be more powerful, but I think Sony made a smart to launch first. Pro and PSVR are going both going to be hits this Fall. And Slim will sell very well too despite not bringing anything new to the table.
So is it time to start saying ' wait to play the superior Scorpio version' now?
I always felt that the whole 'waiting' approaches makes no sense because sports games in particular are yearly releases which means by the time Scorpio releases, we'll be on '18. This pretty much means every '17 is only really worth playing on PS4 Pro if you want 4K.
Gotta love all the Lems in here damage controlling and trying to downplay Native 4K that the cows are enjoying.
Especially when Lems are still stuck with their pos 720P console for at least another year with mostly all flops and the worst versions of multi plats.
Do tell me what games you cows ARE enjoying at native 4K right now.... I'm very interested to see this list.
Oh wait, here it is:
.
Yikes. Not very impressive. Maybe you should hold off on bragging until your PS4 Pro actually releases? Maybe with some more graphically impressive games? I have a feeling that "60 fps" won't be rock steady, either.
PC is still a gen ahead it seems.

"You guys have tweet function, use it. Also, an URL is not enough on it's own to warrant a thread. Make an effort or see your threads locked in the future. This goes to all of you".
where does it say it's native? and how can that be true unless the retail copy of the game is different from the current version, because the current version is not 4k...as Pro hasn't even been released yet lol who comes up with this bs? It's up scaled to 4k is anything.

NO may as well say ¨¨ wait to play the superior PS5 version..lol
By the way you can already play the superior version of xbox games on PC and in superior form vs scorpio as well.

Yes, I'm so butthurt that it runs NBA2K17 in 4K...The secret sauce must be real.

there's no evidence that this is native 4k. The tweet does not state that
edit: and you're saying the down scaled the resolution for release on the current PS4? And it will automatically tune to 4k with a pro? like how does that even work?

There will not be separate Pro versions of any games, they're all the same (Pro patches for pre-pro games and Pro support for the coming games, no separate discs or packages), educate yourself. Ever wondered how PC games can change the settings on the fly?

@MonsieurX: My Windows PC already destroys Xbox One S and PS Pro. No jelly here lol.
These folks are delusional. And basketball? The sport died when Jordan left. Now it is just street thugs who like playing one on one.

Software Development! It's called a unified platform. The platform tells the game how to run. The game knows how to be told how to run because that's how it was built. That's how MS' play anywhere works and that's how the PS4 will work.

so the game is running in downscaled 1080 but will go up to what's supposed to be native 4k? That doesn't make it native.
Plus, lets say I was to believe that. A source still hasnt been provided. Care to show me the source?

If realism and fidelity is the goal, how about they fix all the gameplay bugs, the robotic player movements, and the crowd only being half full in NBA games.....

Seems like you're talking about two different things.
The PS4 Pro game would be rendered at native 4K. It's then downscaled from 4K to 1080p if you're using a 1080p TV. When it's on a 4K tv it still renders at 4K but doesn't bother downscaling it. That's how downscaling works. You start at native then work your way down. Nvidia cards have been doing this for a while. They call it dynamic super resolution. I've done it myself. But there are games that do it internally in the engine. Like Battlefield has a resolution scaling option. The game renders at 4K but outputs a resolution native to your screen.
But if you're talking about running the same game on the original PS4 instead, then the game is not downscaled from 4K. Instead it renders a 1080p image instead. It knows to do this because the game is aware of which PS4 it's running on. That's what a unified platform is.
As for a source for the claim about 2K17, I wasn't really addressing that part of the comment. It could be that it won't render at 4K60 but the technology of switching rendering outputs based on hardware is there.
EDIT: GS has a confirmation from 2K

NBA 2K17
PS4 Pro with a 4K display:
Native 4K resolution running at 60 FPS with HDR support.
PS4 Pro with a 1080p display:
2K confirmed to GameSpot that it will still render a 4K resolution even on a 1080p display. The company said this should result in "much better anti-aliasing" with HDR support.

He's still at it, wtf? :D You don't have to do a separate version of a game just because you bump the resolution to 4k Jesus Christ. There's no magic to it, the game is written so that when it detects that it's inserted into a PS4 PRO it will enable 4k resolution.
Of course the developers have had to make sure their game can run in 4k just as good as it's running in 1080p on the original PS4. Sony isn't forcing 4k on devs, but if they choose to use that resolution the game has to run as good as the 1080p version or better.
Finally the tweet said: "Native 4K resolution running at 60 FPS with HDR support." So there's your goddamn proof already.
I can believe it. There was a basketball game running 1080p60 on the PS3 last gen. It wasn't very good, but it was doable.
The PS4 Pro is completely able to do 4k60, it's just going to suffer some rendering fidelity loss. Sports games generally already push 1080p60. I imagine they could take the 1080p60 version of the PS4 copy and get 4k60 out of it no problem on the PS4 Pro. Might be some slowdown here and there though.
I think a lot of people do not fully understand what it means to render 4k60 native. The developer just has to choose where to spend their rendering budget. Pixels and frames vs. fidelity and rendering effects. That's what it comes down too. It's not shocking at all to hear a dev wants to do 4k60 native on the PS4 Pro. They are clearly willing to take the fidelity hit to achieve that.
