Who is use to the transition from previous nfs series to the hot persuit 2 franchise. Im refering to automatic to manual. Who plays nfs that's not hot persuit in automatic Well the reason im asking is hot persuit 2 is not in manual and im struggling to enjoy it, tho that's my problem not your but do you prefere all nfs titles in what shift mode, Right now i have my right analogue stick as hand brake to mimick the hand break since i cant use it for manual :(

When i play nfs the thing that makes this franchise shine is the engine sounds, when i play manual and slide around the corner it feels mental as if when i drop gears the engine purrs, while in automatic if feels like im not apart of the game. You try it play a game when you rev the car you will say dam love that engine. in forza i used the clutch but yah, but nfs is the real shine the engine sounds are mental that's what I've always loved about nfs.
cryterion are very good at responding to player feedback. so im sure they will patch it in at some point. they patched restarting races into BP after the community requested it.
wanted to buy this game day 1 , but after ive found out is has no manual transition and doesnt even support my logitech wheel i dont want it anymore , how much more can a racing game fail? maybe by forgetting to put cars into the game ... at least GT5 will be released soon

The only use of it was that, in Hot Pursuit 2, driving with manual gears allowed you to go slightly faster (better acceleration and higher top speed) for some reason. In actual races, though, it was practically useless.
Why does the topic title say Need4speed hot pursuit 2?
NFS Hot Pursuit 2 was the best need for speed in the series back in the ps2 times, this new one is just need for speed hot pursuit, so which is it you are referring to?
I think it's sad that you can't have manual transmission, and that I can't use my Logitec G27 steering wheel. We're in 2010, and they are still making driving games that does'nt support steering wheel.

EA is pushing the devs to patch it though as it caused many compaints , however too late for me because when Gt5 will be out i do not need HP anymore
I think it's sad that you can't have manual transmission, and that I can't use my Logitec G27 steering wheel. We're in 2010, and they are still making driving games that does'nt support steering wheel.

Seems like Manual Transmission is useless in an Arcade Racer like NFS... I mean i understand wanting it in Grant Turismo or Forza, but NFS is about pedal to the medal, balls out racing.

Yeah, this basically atleast Shift had some use for Manual and a racing wheel but still pretty arcadey with the assists on.

yeah I was so happy I went into this thread only to be turned down, I thought it was gonna be remastered for ps3,360/pc lol only to find that he is talking about the new game.. need for speed hot pursuit 2 is my fav racer of all time, besides top gear for super nintendo.
