Stopped taking you seriously after you said Gears is the only good game for the 360. As for your advice to buy an HDTV and wait to get a 360, I already have 2. Vyse_The_DaringIt's the only game really worth spending over $550 for (tax, game, Live-membership).
Technically, the best course of action is to wait until the gen is over then buy everything then. But it sucks waiting.Yea, that's definitely the smartest but you have to wait many, many years.

i agree with everythign there exept for gears being the only good 360 game and motorstorm not being good.
Oblivion and gears were great games, so thats 2 for a hole year. Not alot but its more then one. Motorstorm is very fun even on the demo, so i think the game will be pretty amazing. Online sounds fun :P
When i got my 360 at launch i bought 4 games.
Kameo - http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/kameoelementsofpower/index.html?q=Kameo

That's 4 exclusives and 2 multiplatforms. The exclusives having 1 AAA title and 3 very high AA titles. The multiplatform titles being both AA.
If you want to argue opinions then go for it...but scores don't lie. While i think that Resistance is alot of fun (yes, i've played it, extensively), i don't think that $600 is worth it for that game alone. And lets be realistic here...what did anyone really know about Gears of War that was concrete at the time when the 360 launched? Not much. I'm not stating that the 360 launch was anything incredible in terms of game quality...but it was at least a good launch in terms of game quality. It definitely had alot more at launch than the PS3 did (again, in terms of game quality). I could go on and on about the list of games for the 360 that make the console worth it. It's a waste of time though since you either know most of them or just completely write them off in some stereotypical fashion. The 360 is worth getting right now and, IMO, was at launch. The PS3 will be worth getting when MGS4 comes out.
Again, this is my opinion. PS3 will possibly be worth getting before MGS4, seeing as Heavenly sword is shaping up rather well. But this is my opinion.
I agree with your last paragraph, lemmings are getting too big for their guns, when ps3 gets into full swing, they will then start panicking.hyruledweller

If that's true then neither the PS3 or Wii have one killer app. :?
I agree with you but those 4 titles aren't worth buying a 360 for. Waiting until a solid game base is formed on both systems is a smarter move than buying those games. Those games will have little influence on the 360's life a year from now. Gears will, but not Project Gotham 3, not Call of Duty (a multiplat), not Kameo, and definitely not Perfect Dark Zero. :)
I was very hyped for Kameo, PGR3, and PDZ. While PDZ was a slight dissapointment, it still ate up a good amount of my time. Kameo and PGR3 however were incredibly worth it IMO. Call of Duty is a very known franchise that is known for having quality games. That game is great simply by default. And, in fact, the game is great (unfortunately only had 8 people online, luckily CoD3 is better and has 24). Like i said though, these were worth it to me.

I have to totally disagree. I do not even own Gears of War, it was a good rental though. I own Rainbow six vegas however, very cool game.
There are lots of good games on the 360 I rather enjoyed beating. It is why I bought it. I have always been a renter. I enjoy beating games and doing it fast. After that I find little value in most games. The ones I think are worth owning I buy. I still have not beating all the 360 games I want to. And so much more are comming that I very much look forward to beating.
For all you haters, degenerates, and fanboys, you must understand that neither the 360 nor the PS3 is worth getting at this moment in time. Paying anywhere from $400-$600 for systems right now that have a limited quantity of good games isn't worth it. The only real game worth getting on the 360 is Gears of War, you know this. Sony fanboys, Resistance isn't worth the $500-600 price tag. Motorstorm pretty much lost all of it's hype after the IGN article http://ps3.ign.com/articles/765/765336p1.html The game may look good graphically but it plays slow and is obviously being rushed. It will score somewhere in the low 8's here on GS, 7.9 even, considering the media despises the over-priced PS3.
Basically, if you're looking to get into next-gen gaming, buy an HDTV first and wait till the 360 and the PS3 drop in price (or wait for a good promotion like bundled games or discounts). Anyone undecided on whether to purchase a PS3 or a 360, look at the lineup of games being released for each one in the next few years and make your decision accordingly.
Finally, by no means is the PS3 a bad console. Lemmings, your whole argument of "all cows say wait, wait, wait," is void considering you had to wait a year for Gears. Listing off "PDZ, KAMEO, COD2, PGR3" as solid launch titles won't work. Those games aren't spectacular by today's gaming standards, you know this. Further, you who were suckered into buying PDZ don't like the game either. MGS4, FFXII, DMC4 are 3 very solid titles and you can't take that way from the PS3. Halo 3, Mass Effect, and whatever lame game you guys are hyping are solid titles as well.

There's a few great games on the 360, Oblivion is awesome and so is Gears, you have ghost recon, and rainbow six vegas all great games. There is also a lot of good games on the 360 with dead rising, kameo, lost planet, cod 3, wwe smackdown, and alot of others...that all are worth owning. On top of that the game lineup for this year is nasty good. With halo3, Gta 4, Mass effect, forza motorsports all coming out in the same year...plus there's a lot more then that. Those are just the ones guaranteed to sale a million or so copies.
The ps3 has a couple of good games, though its only been out a few months. You have resistance, Fnr 3, nba 2k7 are good games. This years lineup for the ps3 is nasty as well with motorstorm, heavenly sword, warhawk, lair, Gta 4, and a few others that are going to be worth getting. On top of that you get a decent free online service, a blue ray player and a cheap computer if you put linux on it.
