At least Sony will have Netflix via there Sony Bravia's. Anyways Sony has a decent video store that gets updated every week. The only thing I want is streaming video and bundled movies, that would be awesome.

Cookigaki do not care, Cookigaki don't watch movies on a game machine. Besides, Cookigaki prefer to buy his movies in retail store.

Don't care. I have my own method of getting movies to watch to my PS3 (which, has the most support for video playback and is the best media extender out of all three systems).

Probibly will get some hate here but oh well, 360 only because 360 consumers are the only ones willing to shell out more of a monthly fee for streaming video changing bit rates and thinking it's 1080p. PS3 owners know better than to shell out a monthly fee for movies and Wii owners could probibly care less.

I have enjoyed quite a few movies and TV series via this feature on my XBOX 360. Less options for consumers on their chosen console is never a good thing so please stop trying to sugarcoat this dissapointing announcement for Wii and PS3 owners.

It comes with a Netflix subscription which I have had for years, there was no extra charge.

Don't you have a PS3 though? Bah that must stink to have bought it and had no interest in watching Blu-Ray on it. Likewise I agree with you. This has no impact on games which is why I buy consoles.

I'm surprised simply because Netflix had been pushing hard to get some sort of netflix enabled machine into as many homes as possible ASAP. They have their own machine, and seemed to be squeezing netflix playback into as many web enabled entertainment system devices as possible. I suppose some sort of financial consideration might have been made to insure exclusivity, but that would seem shortsighted if Netflix really believes that the future of their business relies on this DD model. Maybe interest for the service is simply not high enough on the 360 to justify further work on consoles, despite all the advertising MS gives the feature? Although that also seems a poor reason, seeing as the other systems wouldn't double charge netflix subcribers for the service, and the Wii's install base is far larger than the 360's, and both those would point to a higher adoption rate.

It just seems an odd decision, but not really a big deal IMHO. As I've said before in another thread, I love Netflix for it's disc based service and selection, but the DD system as it stands features a thin selection of quality movies at a resolution not sutable for smaller PC screens, let alone large screen HDTVs. I'd be 10x happier to see Hulu make a return to my entertainment center than getting the Netflix player.

You pay a monthly fee for netflix correct? You pay a fee for LIVE correct? thats 2 fee's. Those that don't have netflix will pay a monthly fee to recieve those movies on top of the fee for LIVE. To each his own I guess, I can understand if you live out away from video stores or don't use the power of the internet I guess.

Why would you want Netflix on your console when you can just have it on you Computer? I forgot about this To tell you the truth. Anyways, I rent my movies at a video store. Thats fine with me.

There are plenty of good films available instantly and many more to come.

I've completely filled up my netflix queue (500) and I'd say a good 30-40 % of them are available instantly.

Netflix doesn't support those little avatar parties you seem hyped about, that's all MS. If you view Netflix on demand on any other device you'll be spared... or should i say "miss out on" all that great virtual fun! 8)

It's funny. As I got older I got sick of going to the movies to listen to teenagers talk about the movie to each other, blab on their cells, and generally screw around. So I go out and spend thousands of dollars on a home theater system that meets and often surpasses the experience of going to the movies, and allows me to focus on the movies instead of the morons.

MS took a look at the home theater experience and thought, "what we need here are some kids screwing around... THEN it would be perfect!"
