The only thing I'm happy about is they now finally have an "Open Disk Tray" function. Ever since I had the 360 I always wondered why I could close the tray, and play the cd in my tray through my controller...but I could never open that tray. Well now I can.
Anyway, I voted No for the poll. But my No doesn't have exclamation marks following it...I don't like the new look, but I can get used to it.

I actually really do not like that. Especially those terrible avatars. Might be a little better than the existing dashboard but I don't see how anyone could like that giant icon crap.
Don't get me wrong the new features are awesome but that interface and the avatars look god awful imo.

avatars are not forced or manditory u can still use gamerpics, im not sure about themes but they must be used still

Looks like a sloppy, chunky, and less elegant XMB. Why didn't they put the selected bar in the middle so you can see the bars to the left? And the static avatars look like a saturday morning cartoon, they're almost an exact copy of the Miis. I hope this so called "upgrade" is optional. I like the blades better than this.

You have to have a paid NetFlix account. Or maybe MS wants to give its users something FREE. A company that charges for thumbnail pics of Master Chief. Which do you think is more likely? :lol:
It looks nice though. Much faster than the blades. Hopefully you can put a background while keeping the waves and 3d shadows..
I really dislike the avatars :? I share my gamertag with my other half (which exlpains my tag :P) but sharing an avatar sounds awkward. And what the hell is going to happen to my ME theme :|.
I think that the old Dashboard was getting cluttered with a lot of stuff. Accessing games, music and films was pretty weak. There was so much, you couldnt tell just what was there. So for this, i think the new system may work.
But at the same time, theyve completely removed the old dashboard system, and gone for the more 'idiot proof' approach. Im sorry MS, but we 360 owners arent at the level of Wii users
I know why they did it - XBL had simply outgrown it's design - especially on marketplace. With the new set up they can keep adding content ad infinitum. I still prefer the look and feel of the blade system though. and I don't think copying the XMB was a good solution it shows a lack of innovation and imagination. I'll withhold final judgement until I've tried it though.
It looks like Vista's media centre, I really don't mind it. But I'm not to excited about it, us Australians will get like 1/10 of the update (Video marketplace still usless to us :( )

No. That would make no sense. Netflix, as a partner, would not make any money that way. You still need a Netflix subscription. Those who already have one are good to go though.
You were jumping into trying to own someone a wee bit too fast :P.
It does look very nice, but then again its hard to imagine how it couldn't look nice considering it has copied Apple Coverflow, XMB and Mii Avatars so blatantly, its basically taken parts from each of those and integrated them. It does look very sleek though and I prefer it to the Blades.
