Looks very good to me. Pity I won't be able to play it. I already finished most exclusive 360 games that I had an interest in, as I stand now I can't play it anymore and I'm not going to buy the damn console over a game.
If it were coming to the PC, I would have gotten it on day one. Guess I'm going to have to wait on this game for the time being.
I was thinking the same thing with the talking light fixing the stairs. that light is a doctor or a psychologist trying to help Alan Wake up from his coma/nightmares. You heard it here first. I spoiled the ending :PThat's exactly what I was thinking, but that's a little too obvious, especially with the 'Alan, wake up" line at the end of every trailer. The devs said the game would feature a twisting story. I'm willing to bet Alan is completely awake and sane and that that light is actually some malign force. Through desperation for his wife over the course of the story, the light will attempt to convince Alan to jump off a cliff to wake himself up or something along that line. Just a theory.
The graphics look very nice but there just doesn't seem to be anything else to this game aside from its graphics.

Why do you think so? :? Hey man I totally agree with him, I mean there's 20 seconds of gameplay there that isn't walking around, are you saying you can't judge a game based on 20 seconds of gameplay? Because that would just be madness!
I hate the flashlight's beam, looks like a lightsaber on steroids. And it looks far too fixed, no realistic movement of it. Other than that, it looks fantastic!!!
The one thing I hope is that it doesn't go slow-mo every time you use the light, that'll get irritating quickly.bobbetybob
It only goes slo-mo when you use the flare. I think I heard Remedy say that the flare is their version of a grenade. This video looks AWESOME. Everytime I see it, it just keeps looking better. I'm really digging the physics in this game too. The darkness tornado that was picking up pieces of the landscape was just epic. Those saying UC2 looks better, AW is a sandbox game, for it to even be in the same sentence as UC2 in graphics is amazing and shows just how good the developers are.
Hilarious voice acting, that would ruin any of the "atmosphere" the game has for me.

No, I'm asking if that's how you feel. I personally think the voice acting is rather good. And I especially like the internal monologues, since he's entirely alone for a good portion of the game it seems. Also like when he was in the light house and he didn't say anything, he conveyed his emotions through the look on his face, it was really good. I'm not sure why you have a problem with the voice work in AW, it's definitely top notch.

It reminded me of RE's voice acting, there is a lot better English voice acting out there.
I played AC2 recently, the voice acting sounds a lot better from what I have heard in Alan Wake.

Ah, well then we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm sorry for you that you won't be able to enjoy AW due to voice acting, while I'll be able to enjoy the heck out of it. This video just got me even more excited. The game looks sick.
