Rare says it's best to wait till tomorrow before forming any opinions on the game.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com, George Kelion, Rare community manager, has urged gamers not to form any "ill-informed notions" about the developer's upcoming Banjo title for Xbox 360 based on leaked screen shots currently doing the rounds on the Internet.

"People are better off until waiting for tomorrow," said Kelion, referring to the lifting on an embargo Microsoft has in place on a host of new game info.

"It's not just a graphical showcase. It's not a racing game. We've genuinely done something new and innovative," he explained.

Hopefully, it'll have something to do with the level design since last time I checked, the Banjo series is a platformer and platformers are all about the levels.

A developer is saying that their game is innovative? that's a shocker. Never heard anyone talk about their game like that before. :o

They say to form opinions tomorrow yet they say it's innovative. Contradiction.

I can still see RARE's creative talent in their games, and it's the talent I saw 10 years ago when Goldeneye and Banjo were coming out. I trust and support them with whatever they do, because I know they strive to make great creative games. BELIEVE!

So i think the screens sort of confirm rumor number 5 from that April fools thing they had going... Rumour Five: War comes to Spiral Mountain, and Banjo becomes a reluctant leader. Ever seen a Jinjo Tank? Or Grunty's Grappling Grenadier Grunts? You will when you take on our innovative RTS-platformer hybrid campaign. Which was my guess in the first place...

no, just cows wont listen. Other fanboys tend to be smarter, there was a survey proving this and everything. honestly.

It does look genuinly new and innovative, but doesn't look like anything I would be interested in. I don't think I've played a platformer since Banjo Tooie, except for Daxter on PSP and that's only because it came with it.

And low and behold the GI info is exactly what I was expecting to hear, Lego like gameplay with missions that focus on cars boats plans and whatever else you want to build... Which is fine and good and might be a great game, but it's not a platformer.

Picture me eagerly waiting for the info, This would be must buy (if it wasnt for rare being owned by microsoft) looks like this could just be the platformer taking advantage of increase in technology since n64 days (not directed in mario galaxy's direction, I just feel like we haven't seen anything yet). Who said 360 lineup wasn't brimming with gems others than shooters again?

The difference is Rare are telling the truth and can deliver on their promise. You can't deliver a genuinely innovative post

Banjo (slated for November):
- Building vehicles is basically like playing with LEGO. You can always jump in and out of the vehicle editor and come right back to the game with the new design.
- Parts are easily placed and moved around. You don't have to worry about connecting the motor with the wheels for example. Just place everything so they stick together and don't get in the way.
- Vehicle designs can play a large role in missions. We saw one where you had to collect coconuts from a field and got a small truck that could suck them up. Unfortunately you couldn't fit all the coconuts in the truck and had to back and deliver them in a large barrel. We were then shown how you could create a helicopter with a hook, that could pick up this large barrel, fly to the coconut field and fly low to scoop the coconuts in the barrel.
- Physics are awesome in this game and everywhere! With one design I placed the foot-in-a-box weapon behind a propella, and when I tried to use it, the foot/boot couldn't get past the propella... well, until I used it enough times to actually kick the propella off the vehicle!
- Pixel art... imagine the possibilities (Rare already had an example of this, paying homage to a certain plumber)
- Multiplayer is great fun with the ability to either chose from pre-fabricated or own vehicle designs. It still needs some polish here and there, but showed great promise.

the missions could be setup like super mario galaxy ever though about that ? and the 6 levels are much larger than anything from the first two games. and where does it bluntly say it focues on building for the gameplay ?

Although I'm sure Banjo will own...you can't really take a developer at their word. Some are honest, but just highly biased, others just lie through their teeth..

That being said...LONG LIVE BANJO!

Yes, both had the whole overworld, which I assume is Showdown Town in this game, and 12 or so levels. With I think 8-10 Jiggies each...

15 missions... that's really not much.

Yeah well its supposed to be 16 times as big as anything else they have done so im not worried. Levels dont mean as much these days. I mean technically GTA games have only one level.

Depends on their definition of missions. I doubt they are short like GTA. It will probably take hours to complete one. You probably have to complete multiple objectivs, solve puzzles, and then defeat a boss of somesort to finish one "mission".

But it's not, It's got some platforming but focuses on building aspects. Plus it only has 6 levels, and 15 missions... missions in a platformer?

Didn't the other 2 games have more areas that that?

Showdown Town is 16 times larger than anything RARE has created before.

Twilight Princess had the biggest map in a zelda game too, and look where that got it...

15 missions... that's what 1 and a half levels from the first game?

Zelda has a 94% at gamerankings what are you talking about ?

and Zelda fans think it's the best zelda game ever right?

meh its just a kiddy game that has not been heard from for like what 10 years? why do lems hype it so much? i remember all the bashing lems did to mario galaxy . galaxy will be way better then ban joe .iamanoobkillme

What is Galaxy then? Their both "kiddy". And they hype it because it has a good track record. Most sheep who hyped Galaxy used that as a reason.

Yes, both had the whole overworld, which I assume is Showdown Town in this game, and 12 or so levels. With I think 8-10 Jiggies each...

15 missions... that's really not much.

Depends on their definition of missions. I doubt they are short like GTA. It will probably take hours to complete one.

Maybe, they listed one where you collect and diliver coconuts in teh info... sounds ok, but kind of not platformer esk at all.

Well in the old games you completed each area and then moved on and there were 12 or so. Now instead of dividing up the game into areas they are dividing it up into missions. That cocanut thing was probably just a small part of completign an overall mission.

How about this Zelda TP was a great game, but it wasn't great because of the size of hyrule, which many critics said was to empty so it was needlessly big.

You've not shown many facts about Banjo Kazooie that make it seem like a Banjo Kazooie game at all.

Um he wasn't saying the game will be great because its big. He was alleviating fears that the game was smaller and shorter then previous games because it has fewer areas.

Your trying to piece together a whole game from table scraps wait for tomorrow. If it doesn't change your mind stop speculating and don't buy the game if your not a fan. No sense in coming in here and stating your opinion over and over.

Seriously, if there is no sense in coming here and stating my opinion then why are you here staiting your opinion? Why are any of use here stating any of our opinoins?

Seriously I'm just going by what they have released, and it says it focuses on building.
