I think this game receives more attention than it deserves.

Really? I thought they captured the essence of batman extremely well judging from the demo.

I did'nt mean to say it was a bad game. I just think it receives a bit too much praise because it's Batman.
The demo gave me the impression that combat's is very "press X to win".
[QUOTE="AmayaPapaya"]I am looking forward to it. But it's one of those games which will drop in price 6 months after it's out. So I will wait for now. My thoughts exactly on this title.I can't find the hype for this game. It doesn't look to interesting to me.

Oh, well I thought that for a while then I actually fought some of the guys with the guns head on they pretty much owned me lol
Well that's what has me hyped.Batman is a detective, NOT a bruiser as every game before this one mistakenly assumes. There is far more to the character than him going around and beating the crap out of people. This game seems to take this in to account. I like the counter system and the simplistic combat. This isn't fighting game.I did'nt mean to say it was a bad game. I just think it receives a bit too much praise because it's Batman.

i dunno...i kind of liked the demo. i think it will be the first decent batman game in a while. i agree its not a brawler, like everyone thinks. you can fight enemies with assault rifles head up or you get smoked. its forces you to be stealthy, which is what batman is for the most part. except for some of the horrible batman movies (forever, batman and robin), he rarely fights large groups of enemies like in god of war etc.PS3 version is shaping up to be fantastic. Even though im just renting it, i want to play as the Joker! Damn my 360! Damn you to hell with your none ps3 features...DaViD_99
im getting it on the PC and play it with the 360 controller and play it maxxed out at 1080p
Nah im going with the 360 version since the PS3 version will likely be inferior graphics wise.aero250

i was going to say this is one of the few games that looks exactly the same on both the ps3 and 360 yet the ps3 version gets more content.... it wouldnt be a smart move to get the version with less content now would it?
For some reason I just don't give a hoot about this game. I don't see it scoring too well.
Tulak_Hord
seeings how this is going to be paralelled to other superhero games (most of which were down right horrible and only a few of them are mildly interesting) and its not some movie/video game tie in...i see it easliy getting AA in most reviews

un sept there really isnt a differnce if you actually see both versions side by side the ps3 version looks slightly blurier, probably due to using Q-AA i guess, but yet some how the plants look alot better on that version so no, they dont look at all that much different

Well, in regards to the GTA 4 and Fallout DLC or any other game that had more content than the PS3 version quite a few people thought so.Why is it now smart all of a sudden?I can notice them pretty well without fanboy goggles, sucks if you can't.:P Though I'm probably getting the PS3 version for it's content.[QUOTE="mitu123"]

I never accused you of anything. I'm just speaking in general about the comments in this thread about this DLC. I happen to think it's great, especially because it's free, but I can't help but cringe at all of the hypocrisy. Before this, exclusive DLC was evil. Now it's great! I happen to love the fact that a company is willing to pay to do cool extra stuff for their version of the game and I've been saying this repeatedly here. It just amazes me at how some people are actually "getting it" now that it's on their system of choice. I'm sorry if I made it seem like I was accusing you of this.

Yep, the AA is the main difference, and at least the PS3 version uses one of those you said, as long as the lighting, textures, res, etc. isn't affected too much, I'm fine with that.[QUOTE="hyperboy152000"]

ah sorry for the misundersatanding then
but yea i think any form of dlc outside cosmetic changes, esp. free dlc can only help a game, and if a developer does infact decide to take that dlc to the other plateform(s), even though its usually much later (fo3) atleast you get to play them regardless of the system. i just despise the mindset that people will be willing to pay for ANYTHING if the game is popular enough like for example costume packs... doesnt affect gameplay and even though i dont have to buy it, they could have used to the time and resources to make an actual worthwile add-on

Well.. Considering those are just addons and Xbox 360 users still get the full game they aren't losing anything.. Anyways there's always a chance of it being a timed thing.

What is it that you guys had a problem with in the game? Ive heard complains about the camera and stiffness of Batman. Which I think are both ridiculous, I played through the demo 3 times and never had a camera problem and the stiffness is an art style decision. Hes a stoic, badass character, he doesnt slouch. Who cares. The fighting is fun and fluid, the controls worked great and very responsive, and the graphics are definitely top notch.
Damn. After all of the whining about the Fallout exclusive DLC you'd think that people would find this to be a problem. From some of the comments it seems like paying for exclusive content is a shrewd business move after all.
Fancy that.
Well, obviously cows aren't going to say anything bad about getting free exclusive content since it's on their system just like lemmings are loving those two GTA4 expansion packs. I still think exclusive content on multiplat games shouldn't happen. Please Log In to post.
