New BF3 screens, graphics/stubble king, etc

Maybe the game will actually look like that. I remember when Crysisfirstshowed its pictures5 years ago and people asked if the game really looked like that. And guess what it did. So hopefully it's the same for this. If not when whatever but it would be cool if it did though.

Eww.................. That looks like poop. I'm pretty sure since I ran BC2 max settings... I should be able to run BF3 high settings aswell. Def not getting this on consoles.

The PS3 pic looks almost as good as the PC one. But the PC one is clearly sharper.

The PS3 lighting and shadows are all over the place. The textures are worse obviously and the destruction seemed different. Still looked good for consoles but PC is where its at

Yeah it looks great on its own but in comparison (especially these screens) it looks pretty bad.

Crysis 1 character models look good, but still look like a videogame. BF3 character models look like real life people. The screens are outrageous

very few games will be better than Crysis next gen, its too expensive to make a game like Crysis, Publishers would rather spend everything on advertising than the game itself

even BF3 after 4 years is still far behind Crysis, EA are spending it on marketing, not the game, Dice only have a couple of years dev time anyway, its being rushed you can tell

What exactly do you want from a city/desert setting? Mirror's Edge? Real life isn't full of jungles...

I don't for a second believe this game is going to run very well on current hardware with the settings cranked up, anybody thinking of building for BF3 should probably wait until this time next year to do so :oops:.

The city scenes weren't even like that. The buildings crumble and bits fly off them when shot. The trees move with explosions. Bullets casings fly everywhere and a whole building collapsed (albeit scripted). How is that static?? is thats static then crysis is even more static. Only certain "shacks" were destructible. not everything. Also I could just say "crysis has too much green and brown" from its jungle setting. Grow up dude and accept that BF3 actually looks great. I don't know why some people think it looks bad

It does look good (with some work left to do) but it doesn't look great. The textures are bad and the lighting and shadows are far inferior to the PC version. But It does look better than I expected.

My purchae of Skyrim will be delayed because of this, all good though I can space out my games a bit.

Here, I can't see any aliasing in this screenshot I just took, and I purposefully took it where there would be an object going diagonally across the screen, so that aliasing would be as noticeable as possible.

The BF3 screenshot maybe compressed to half or so of it's resolution, giving it a supersampled look, but it's not faked/photoshopped(most likely) so it's not a bullshot.

And here, I highlighted edges in paint, to show where aliasing should be (jpg compression cleaned it up a little bit)
