[QUOTE="millerlight89"]So the 360 version is pretty amazing looking, can't wait to see the PC version. Other than that, the MP looks like it will keep me busy. ferret-gamer

that IS the pc version, according to the link provided by another gamespoter.

most likely on a config equivalent to the 360, if that was the PC version on any decent settings it is a big downgrade from the original.

Exactly.

No, if that was the PC version on highest settings it is a decent downgrade from Crysis 1 graphics, even the multiplayer. Thats why im saying that that footage must be from a PC configured to run it at the 360 specs. Since i dont see crytek downgrading the technology used.

I don't mind that's good enough for me :)

im not only dissapointed in the graphics, it seems they are making the multiplayer into Call of Nanosuit: Future Warfare 2.

This has me a bit concerned too, not so much the graphics, but the last part. I will hope for the best, but I don't want to set myself up for disappointment.

At least you need to collect dog tags ala BC2 to be able to pull them off. Means it won't get spammed to death. :\

The dog tags you get for getting headshots and such aswell.

Looks solid.........for a console. Still looks good, but I hate to see the original's Power Struggle get taken out in favor for the typical MP experience. It is nice to see a game try to be like CoD, but not be gratuitously accurate with the weapons. I will still get the game, on PC of course.

downgrade? from the single player? that is to be expected. also:

…in a minute. You see, I was just raving talking about the PC version. I also managed to get some time in with the Xbox 360 version of the multiplayer level… and when played on Microsoft's console it's a very different story. The Xbox version looks markedly worse than the (admittedly top-end) rigs that EA set up, and it simply couldn't muster anywhere near as much grunt. A washed-out colour palette, jaggier edges and noticeably compressed texturing undoes much of Crytek's good work. Don't get me wrong, it still looks good for an Xbox 360 title- but it does highlight the need for Microsoft to consider upgrading to the next generation sooner rather than later to stay in the game. On the plus side, I much preferred playing on the 360 thanks to my console bias and Halo-honed skills- and the air combat was a lot more fun thanks to the immediacy that a controller brings to a table.

crysis 2 itself is a downgrade from crysis 1 graphically so it could be more consolised. and crysis 1's multi-player doesn't look that great either.

I know that the game its self is consolized but i dont expect them to actually remove technologies from the PC version.

Oh and looks like that was the PC version. No wonder it was so smooth.

All the guys playing are sitting with their hands almost covering their crotches. Last time I checked that is not the way you play using keyb/mouse. They are in fact using xbox pads. Watching that movie a few times and I never spotted any PC or mouse. Why use xbox pads and low-med settings when demoing the game for PC???

So console players don't know they are getting inferior graphics. BTW that didn't look like medium level graphics too me, unless something else was cut down to make the scene run faster, though the resolution looked pretty low (probably 720p). I also didn't notice any ambient occlusion. The shadows, particles and especially textures looked pretty good though.

Extremely impressive. For a game to look that amazing in MP online is a huge feat. Water running down the visor, assassination kills on the fly, all at a steady frame rate on a CONSOLE. I can't derive any complaints from that. It seems that most shooters are adapting assassinations or some type of grapple move into their gameplay mechanics nowadays. Gears of War 2 (meat shield, executions), Halo Reach (assassinations), Crysis 2, and a few others that I cannot think of at the moment.

As much as I love my KB + Mouse, Xbox 360 controllers play very well for most shooters.

Eh, It is really frustrating and annoying to use a controller for a shooter after you've been using k/m for so long. Feels like you're driving a tank. Plus to me it seems on console shooters it's less about where you hit an opponent and more about that you actually hit them.
