It's shown in the latest video. Basically, it allows for the characters in the game to adjust their positions to varying motion and ground slopes.
That's awesome, I've been wanting games to do that for a long time now. I've seen similar things in Half-Life 2 (striders especially), but it was never really noticeable.
What I really want to see in games with animation is where the characters and go from the middle of an animation and then start a new animation without those annoying, noticeable jumps too.
Not sure if that'd been done, though, the latest game I've played has been either Okami and Oblivion (I'm always behind).
