FPS are still my least favorite games, and I doubt that this would change my mind

But seriously, for the price type of PC you need and the amounts of power more it needs then the console I think it can be alot better, seeing the gameplay video it looks better then anything on the console, but not in a really big way, the console games in motion look almost as good as crysis in motion. As far as my eyes see, and no I seeing well...
I know Crysis is going to special, but I don't know why. I can't quite put my finger on it.
I've played Far Cry on my computer (before I had a crappy graphics card tha would barely play the game, now I play the game well but it shuts down for no reason a minute in), but what I played of the game was really fun and different (though frustrating and really hard), I don't know why.

Yes, you can play this in third person.
No you cannot. you can play most PC games in third person, the command is often built into the engine itself.
You can use the vehicles in third person, this has been implemented into the game by Crytek.
Using the character in third person may very well be possible through a console command, or slight modification, but Crytek never designed the character to be played in third person view, so you'd have no crosshair, and therefore shooting enemies would be extremely difficult.
*This doesn't mean there won't be a mod to add 3rd person view for the heck of it. It wouldn't require very many changes anyway.

they never designed for UT04 to be a third person game either, yet the console command is there, and the cross hairs appear.

You'll want to head over to the PC Hardware Discussion, there's plenty of helpful people there who could tell you the best deals. But for the basics, you'll probably want to get some variant of a Core 2 Duo (probably at least an E6600), along with one of the 8800 series video cards and you'll probably want at least 2 GB of RAM.

Yep, that's basically exactly what I was aiming for. God, it's going to end up costing me an arm and a leg. Good thing Crysis, Spore, Hellgate, Dragon Age, Quake Wars, UT2K7, SupCom, etc are worth it.
