Looking excellent. Is anyone else excited for this game?

Kinda old, saw it ages ago.
This is probably going to be one of the best survival horror games and one of the most cinematic video games, ever.
what the hell is this crap on my screen?lawlessx
That's probably due to the amount of liquid you're salivating from the awesomeness of these screens.
He looks like a futuritic janitor.Gh0st_Of_0nyx
According to the story, he pretty much is one. A mechanic send to investigate, as part of a large team, this mining ship. (A mining ship which, by the way, mines entire planets and strips them barren. Seems that's acceptable in the future)

I think that's the idea. He's an blue collar worker who stumbled upon this isolated incident.

It's a.. uh... laser guided chainsaw? I'll buy 2 copies.
Screens don't impress me very much. Any good gameplay videos?II-FBIsniper-II
Pretty sure there's some interview/diary on GameTrailers. I think it's about the sound.
There's this part where they're talking about a sound some guy extracted from his daily train rides, and they married that sound with some sort of "random" room (kinda like the mirror room in Silent Hill 3). The lighting in that looked phenomenal.
Not sure yet. I am hoping it is uber creepy with a lot of crazy stuff jumping out at you in the dark with an otherwise nasty lifeless vibe for a backdrop. Then it'll be cool. Otherwise it'll just be another meh shooter.SUD123456
It's hardly a shooter. Have you seen the "weapon" you have? I don't even think it's a combat weapon. Then there are puzzles I believe, hence the zero G environments and of course, the eerie spaceship.

Well it's listed as a sci-fi shooter. But regardless of how you kill the enemy e.g. gun, knife, wrench, laser torch, welder or whatever the heck this guy uses, it'll be the ship, atmosphere, eerieness etc which will make or break the game....not the weapons per se. Which was my point.

Appearently that is what the devs are shooting for.

I would say part of the atmosphere is the use of that makeshift weapon you have.
I mean, they're making the inventory part of the atmosphere as well, by not pausing the game while you rummage through your items.
When you're faced with a threat and loaded with a BFG 9000, you have a certain mindset. If you're only equipped with a rusty needle, it's a rather different experience.
I guet your point though.

EA...and as long as this doesn't have the repetitive linear corridors like Doom 3, then this will be good
EA Redwood Shores in particular. it's not really a specific team though, they pulled a bunch of people from different groups together for it a long time ago. the game's actually fun, from what i've heard about it.So its a sub standard System Shock 2 rip off??
Not pausing while sorting your inventory.....how original...cough cough!! What next? A malevolent A.I called Shodanz (the Z makes it cool and street)
In space, no'one can hear you scream "is everyone completely devoid of new and original ideas?"

SS2 is a rip-off of Event Horizon:P
OMG, it's such a crime that we have a 4th or 5th game taking place in a spaceship!
I love this game's concepts - especially the "gun" you have and the fact that you can't hear anything in the void, except the vibrations that come through the floor.
