Whats the point of playing the game if your gonna watch it... ahh come on square bring the old battle system back screw the gambits.haris12121212
That would just bring back the haters of turn based RPGs...
Either way its a lose lose situation for some.
I would like more information on this. Having less control over your characters isn't a good thing.
With these Gambits turned on, players can finally experience Final Fantasy in all its glory without ever having to press any buttons at all.chutup

wouldn't it be easier to just delete your post? That's what I did with mine, to avoid scaring away the flies from my honeypot *muahahahaha* oh wait, now my secret is out. Oh well.
Apparently the game will improve on FFXII's Gambit system, which allowed players to automate many moves for their party members. In FFXIII, there will be many all-new Gambits. The most prominent include "Next area: Walk to" and "Cutscene: Watch". Thank god, it was really annoying having to move to the next mosnter, after the AI did the battle itself, i NEEDED that in FF13, now i can just sit back, relax and do not even touch my controller
Real Time Combat a la western rpgs also kind of begins to be lame, Witcher did a good job with the combo thing, but still imo one of the best battle system was Star Ocean 3 battle system. Enemies on screen, when encounter there is a transition on the battelfield. And it's a real time action battle system that is very nicely done, no buton mashing and so on.both gambits and turn-based combat suck IMO
they need real-time combat with enemies that don't appear at random, and i'll finally be able to enjoy a final fantasy game
