New Driveclub night racing gifs destroy any racing games in graphics!

The lighting alone murders Project Cars, Forza 5 and whatever the hell else that's out there. The 1080p video will come shortly and by then it would just be unfair :). This is what next gen racer is all about guys, fully dynamic global illumination lighting and shadowing, fully 3d trees, dense foliage and epic view distance. It's gonna be a wild ride!

Actually, on second glance, the bottom gif is quite nice. But it doesn't "destroy" anything.

Bottom gif looks great but what's with that top one?  The sky reminds me of Mega Drive racing games. 

project cars looks better

Second GIF looks pretty cool, but nah, this doesn't destroy anything. Not much of a racer fan, but played GRID 2 recently, the two look very comparable, though we haven't seen much of Driveclub to decide which one looks better overall.

Game doesn't even look as good as Project CARS...

I wouldn't say it destroys other games though. It doesn't seem to be as dynamic as Project Cars. The sky is always really underwhelming in footage of Driveclub.

Also does the game transition from Day to Night while driving? Genuine question cos I don't actually know

The skybox and the mountain backdrop move way too fast. Sunset looks nice though

Not sure why people are hyping this. It looks boring, like Forza and GT. Doesn't look any better than Forza 5, either... imo. But maybe I lack the caring required to look closely enough at these boring games.

I do agree the environments still need a lot of work. The trees and buildings are pretty poor looking at times.

But the game is still like  a year off from release, hopefully they can pick it up
