New Driveclub night racing gifs destroy any racing games in graphics!

EDIT: just watched it, track is noticable barren compared to the other locatiosn we've seen. None of that beloved "trackside shrubbery". Still a ton of jaggies and pop-ups. Shadows are nice though.

The lighting alone murders Project Cars, Forza 5 and whatever the hell else that's out there. The 1080p video will come shortly and by then it would just be unfair :). This is what next gen racer is all about guys, fully dynamic global illumination lighting and shadowing, fully 3d trees, dense foliage and epic view distance. It's gonna be a wild ride!

Something like the old Need For Speed games would be great. (i.e. Alpine track, Coastal track, Canyon track, Highway, Forest, ect.)

The game looks nice, but I played it at PAX Prime and wasn't really impressed with the driving physics. I know it is supposed to be arcadey, but the cars were doing things that I wasn't expecting. Though one of the guys at the booth said that PS+ Members will get a special "lite" version of the game with limited cars/modes or something like that, so basically a massive demo, so I might just do that and decide whether I want this or NFS at launch.

Yeah, at this point I would say try the game first. I only got two laps on a track to try it out and I think it's just one of those games you need a bit more time to familiarize yourself with. I was doing better on the second lap, but things just felt a little weird. I wouldn't advise to buy it outright. I love racing games so I'm going to get either this or NFS, but I just don't know which yet.

Though how does the instuments cluster reflect off the drivers side window? The tach, MFD and speedo are sunken into their housings....but whatever.

It does look very good, sense of speed is definitely there and the inside of the car looks baller.

Can you just imagine what Horizon 2 will look like with the talent at playground working with XOne hardware.

LOL!! No. We'll see how it looks with 4-5 other cars on the track at the same time. Day/Night lighting has been done in many racing games before. Not anything new really. Forza is doing 24 car online races. I'd love to see Club Drive do that with the night/day effects. It would drop down to 5-10fps.

A next gen racer at 30fps. All it's missing is the 60fps.
