New English Nintendo Direct for Xenoblade Chronicles X 4/24

Erm, okay, so this is a bit short notice, but I'm sure that doesn't matter.

Visit http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct on Friday, April 24, at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET for a video showcase about Xenoblade Chronicles X, an upcoming open-world role-playing game for the Wii U console. And keep watching after the showcase for a Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation featuring the game. These videos will be available in English only.

This will be the first dedicated Direct for Xenoblade Chronicles X that English speaking territories have gotten yet. I suspect we will be getting an update on the game's localization, and possibly a release date tomorrow.

I'm surprised that nobody posted in this thread. This game might get Game of the Year of 2015.

Cannot wait! The only problem with this game that I see right now is the facial designs of the characters, but it won't break the game for me, not even close, maybe I'll just force them to wear helmets at all times if possible. :p

I'm excited for it. I just hope its not just a english dub of the 3 videos they did for Japan.

Famitsu gave this a 34/40. Can't say I'm hyped anymore because that place give away 38+ like Halloween's candy.

Hopefully it comes out sometime in June-August. Cannot see this type of game being pushed back all the way to November/December to help the Holiday season.

It's releasing next month in Japan. Of course it will release here this year too.

They are pretty generous when it comes to jrpgs though.

funny thing is that when it was successful in the west famitsu flip flopped and gave a much higher score to Dark Souls even though the games were still very similar in most ways.

But famitsu in general is the biggest joke around, they give paid scores and shit for like every game. You go to 2ch and the first thing you notice is that hardly anybody likes them and this is like the single biggest Japanese forum. The reddit of Japan.

Final Fantasy XIII got a 39/40 there. Are their scores really important?

Exactly, they give out high scores to pretty much anything jrpg. FFXIII-2 got a perfect 40/40.

That was......wow, extremely disappointing. They don't even have a demo English build. There is no way this is getting released this year.

Nintendo of America really knows how to kill the hype of a game.... This information could of been held off for E3 which is less than 2 months away. Only makes it look like the game is nowhere near finished on localization.

@fueled-system: I've been telling everyone here, the game is pretty damn big, it has 300+ hours of actual missions and even more with alternate ones. If they don't even have a demo English build, what makes people think we'll get the game this year.

This game looks amazing.

Man, that was boring to watch them play, game looks great, but rather be playing it right now... Expect something at E3 or nothing at all until next year basically.

Without a clear date those "it will be out later this year" place holder statements just fill me with skepticism, especially in this day and age. I came into the Direct being told it was going to be released in 2015 and left with no new information or insights.
