My biggest fear with this game, despite my hype for it, is the party.
I don't want monsters in my party.
mmmwksil
Monster in party is an epic idea though personally, 2012 cant come any faster, hurry up!

What did you dislike about it?What did you dislike about it?SaltyMeatballs
Just the monsters. I hated the entire idea of having monsters in my party instead of human characters.
The rest of the game was great, and even better when you could finally toss out the silly monsters in favor of human members.

Is this for Vita?
finalstar2007
The only FF on Vita so far is Final Fantasy X Remake
Yet... no FF7 remake. So I'm guessing FFX on Vita/PS3 will just be FFX HD?Ooh... walking. Fascinating. :|
I liked XIII despite linearity.
I don't see what's so fun about walking around, not being able to fully interact with NPC's (Mass Effect/Dragon Age) or kill or steal from them (Fallout/TES).
I'll be buying this game day one though, anyway. But there's nothing special about an open field.

You do realize that most of them are different stories, chars, worlds, ect., right? Only thing most have in common is the Final Fantasy name. They really keep milking that Final Fantasy. When will we get to the final one?

it looks pretty similar to FFXIII in that you have a lot of narrow corridors and then a spacious overworld.
i didnt hate XIII like it killed my family or anything, but what i didnt like about the overworld is that it felt static. there were very few landmarks to travel to and give you a sense of place or make you want to explore, the time of day never changed no matter how long you wandered around, the small weather changes were obviously triggered rather than natural events, and there wasnt much to do besides slay more monsters (which themselves ran around on set routes or stayed in their designated spots). it clearly wasnt the focus of the game, but it felt like a missed opportunity.
but yes, i do think the environments show more promise. more so than the backdrop vistas of the bustling city that player was showing off, i liked the scenery in the tall grass area that you could actually explore. the day/night changes they showed off looked good and i hope they are actual cycles that change while you play. and looking at the minimap in the earlier parts, i looks the corridors might be a bit more maze-like which would be more fun to navigate.

I wonder if Searh will end up liking Noel and leave Snow :o
jiggaloj
That would be pretty awful considering he spent all that time in FF13 trying to save her.
Not really. He looks like a gay lion now, and looks too old for Serah. Yeah, she's legal, but still.
FF13-2 is FF13's cut content
so enjoy knowing that when you waste money on it
also it looks amazing... if it came out in 2001

Talking and interacting with NPC's are two different things.
You can have full conversations with most random NPC's in ME/DA/TES and gain basic knowledge.
Hearing dialogue repeats like "Damn those Pulse L'Cie!" from NPC's is not the same thing.
I only watched a couple seconds, but wow that was beautiful. I really hope this game is good. I still have not played FFXIII but will do so soon. just how open is XIII-2? I like worlds where I can go back to places later and do sidequests and such and all that sorta stuff. For instance, Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, and Paper Mario.

Of course not. :roll:the final fantasy fan in me is impressed by how it look, but the FF XIII hater in me still has doubt. I didn't like how FF XIII was linear, but that was never my main complaint, the story and characters were
