New Forza 3 Gameplay Footage!!

Looks pretty. Its very colorful, a bit to colorful to be honest.

The hell with the graphics though, the racing seems much more fun.

OMG!! OK, I don't mean to stir up any thing, but if you listen very closely at the beginning of the video, a guy asks have you shown the COCKPIT VIEW and does it affect anything? The guy responds (I really hope he's not from Turn 10), yes it changes the framerate, it feels different....THAT'S WHAT GRAN TURISMO DOES!!, GRAN TURISMO 5 PROLOGUE!!!! In GT5p the framerate does NOT change when you enter the cockpit view...UH OH!!!!

OMG!! OK, I don't mean to stir up any thing, but if you listen very closely at the beginning of the video, a guy asks have you shown the COCKPIT VIEW and does it affect anything? The guy responds (I really hope he's not from Turn 10), yes it changes the framerate, it feels different....THAT'S WHAT GRAN TURISMO DOES!!, GRAN TURISMO 5 PROLOGUE!!!! This lemming vs. cow battle is so awesome lol. And Forza looks nowhere near as good as what the lemmings said it would be.

Ooooh the physics in Forza3 is unreal. I mean at 85 and hit the car ahead in the left rear and does not spin the other car? Oh yea at 85 and drives on to the grass with out even slowing much less spinning when he turns to get back on to the track. Or hitting the wall at 85 and does not flip nor do I see damage that is so praised about this game. I mean he was literally straighting every corner he came to might as well not have been any S curves at all.

after watching alot of these videos.... honestly im still not convinced that forza 3 looks better than gt5.... not one little bit

it looks and feels empty.

I've never understood the phenomenal reputation that the Forza series has for having some of the most realistic physics and damage modeling on the market, particularly because of how much more struck I was by the realism of this simple, humdrum user-uploaded gameplay footage of GT5 after viewing the vid linked in the OP. The cars seem to have greater weight in Gran Turismo and the wheels have the incredible force of friction directing their motion....I don't see that at all in the Forza footage.

I don't know, I've played neither game to the extent that I should for an honest comparison. I'd appreciate comments.

By the way the guy talking about Gran Turismo in the vid, if you listen closely (I couldn't get all of it).....he says "Yeah it does, and it changes the framerate [inaudible] really (barely?) different...Gran Turismo does the same thing....Gran Turismo Prologue..."Brownesque

I used Adobe Audition to edit the source file and a guy asks, have you shown the cockpit view (inaudible for a bit), then what you heard is someone saying, "Yes, it changes the framerate, it feels different...GT does the same thing, GT5p." I watched a video on Giant Bomb.com where Ryan and Jeff explain that the framerate changes in the cockpit view in Forza 3. I think that's what these guys are talking about, but what strikes me, is whoever that guy is, hasn't played GT5p, because the framerate stays at a solid 60FPS in the cockpit view in GT5p.

The game looks okay.

Prologue looks better. Forza looks kinda cartoony. The mountains are nice but.

The driving didn't look that good either...compared to that youtube video of the F40 that guy showed. It just didn't seem....real.

Looks great. Very impressive, but I prefer the other version of the track I've seen in other videos.

Equally impressed with the lengths some people go to discredit the graphics. While I still feel that the average fanboy on every side is fairly sad, I'm starting the think the religiously zealous fanboys on the GT side play by a different set of rules and different levels of pathetic. Oh well, there's still a lot of time before release for the Forza fanboys to reciprocate.

Then again, I doubt I'd spend anytime on this forum if it weren't for the constant suprises humanity provides me here. Cheers!

Dude, i have. It's not realistic. Especially when you drive in manual. When you buy new parts for your cars in GT you feel the difference where as in Forza, not as much. I'm not trying to say GT is heaps better. It's just the way you're trying to say it's 'realistic'. It really isn't that good. The only things that are better in Forza is the online and the damage.

I don't really care for the need for speed underground aspects of upgrading my cars.

Lol, so the guy crashes to a wall at high speed, and he is able to win the race....
