PC wise, nothing AMD does excites me. The tech in the PS4 and Xbox One did nothing for me either.

@Jebus213: That's not really fair. Some of us are grown ass adults with experience so its not always so unusual for some of us to understand a little bit about this kind of stuff.
To be really fair, there are a whole lot of people on System Wars who toss around terms like "architecture" and acronyms like APU who have absolutely zero clue what they're talking about and have no programming or engineering background whatsoever. All they do is read these articles and then regurgitate things to sound like they know what they're talking about, for the most part
this is a video game forum. Relax
Nintendo won't announce a new console yet, they have the Wii U stacked through to the end of 2016, and announcing a newer one right now will kill any sales potential that's left in it. Unless it's a brand new product category like the DS was at its time, they're not announcing a new system just yet.
Google also just released that brand new Android microconsole, so I highly doubt it's them.
... Apple?
pls no overpriced apple crap.
Activision.....EA............
Would both make more money long term getting their games on multiple devices.
(though imo popularity is dropping)
You can't make up a statistic and call it an opinion.
there's already too much AMD out there pls no
Intel's PC IGP market share is still larger. NVIDIA can't compete against AMD's 2-for-1 deal.
I doubt it'll happen but Sony and MS's weak hardware left the door WIDE open for a Samsung, Apple, or whomever to enter the console market with an appropriate next-gen system.
But anyway, it says in the article that the product is likely not a console.
"could be talking about some kind of a media centre with gaming capabilities"
well, if I had to guess it could be any set top box device, or maybe for cable boxes, I heard telecoms want to have capability to play games and I think there was talk a while back of EA striking a deal with one of the telecoms (maybe Comcast) so people can buy/rent games on their cable boxes
Nintendo. I really doubt any other company will try to get into the console market now. But Nintendo will have to release a new console within the next couple of years.

It wouldn't make any difference if Sony or MS selects NVIDIA Geforce 650 Ti with 8 core ARM A9/A15 type CPU. NVIDIA lost on contract price for this gen console hardware.
NVIDIA's K1 was late when compared to AMD's Temash**
.**Scaled to 8 core Jaguar and 14 to 20 CU GCN.

Nintendo already did, just for emerging markets only.
