New gameplay of Far Cry 3 [PS3]. Graphics are impressive

I saw the coop footage running on PS3 at E3 and thought it looked bad. Some very notable pop up, jaggies and low framerate. I don't doubt it'll look nice on the PC tho.

Men, this and Crysis on consoles prove that hermits we're full of sh1t when they said consoles couldnt handle a detailed open world like crysis on PC. I'm not saying it looks as good GRAPHICALLY as the PC version but this game and the fact crysis is on consoles that they are full of sh1t when complained about Crysis 2 being more streamlined because "consoles couldnt handle open world environments"

People who are actually going by THIS footage to judge the systems/game graphics is laughable. It's a BLURRY footage, CLEARLY masking a lot of the lower detail/AA issue..which the console version suffers greatly from.

so? They were still made so that proves it was possible. Now hermits made it seem like the Crysis 2 streamline was due to console limitations when they proved then can do those open environments just as well but with some minor graphical limitations. Also I didnt noticed any game breaker framerate on crysis PS3 btw. I barely notice the framerate most of the times. Screen tearing and huge pop-in are the only things that trully anoys me

Thats PC, not PS3, it was confirmed Ubisoft was nearly running all their games off a PC

We saw the PS3 version of FC3 at Sony's conference, it had a bad framerate, screen tearing and lots of texture pop in and looked worse

game comes out on my birthday so Im looking forward too this. hopefully its better than far cry 2. that was one of my most anticipated games and was sad that it didnt not live up to the hype(along with the new alone in the dark and kane & kynch)

You do realize that all they'd have to do to change the face buttons is change the images of xbox buttons in the game file. It would probably take 5 minutes. that being said there is software out there that allows the use of the dualshock 3 on PC. these are devs, they have access to far more than the actual consumer. you guys...

What? Thats fvckin stupid and makes no sense whatsoever. Would ubi create PS3 buttons (that I'm pretty sure It takes more then 5 min) rather then the X360 ones just to pass the footage as of PS3? Thats seems kinda illogical to me. Every button input I've seen from PC games were of the X360 controller. If its, in fact PC footage with PS3 button input then color me surprised cause I've never seen a dev using PS3 button inputs to showcase PC footage

I don't see what's the hype about this game. E3 did nothing but lower the expectation I have for it.

Looks about right to me. That horrible video quality is hiding all the jagged edges and low res textures.

Looks a lot like BF3 actually.

And dat bloomy fire reminds me of UC3.

I didn't waste the time to watch, Farcry is boring. 3 won't change that, but I think you guys are overthinking the whole button thing. It's really not as big an issue as you think I'm sure.
