Although I'm a PS3 man now, I gotta admit, I'm gonna miss Gears of War 2. I loved Gears of War... Too bad my 360 didn't survive long enough so I could finish it!

Thank God! Thats what made me stop playing the MP for the first gears was the rushing shotgunners. It pretty much made the lancer a useless weapon because all people would do is rush and strafe then get close to you and boom you were dead. I hardly could get any kills in that game.

Geow2 looks great.... surely gonna get this game...

Geow2 & Resistance2 will keep me busy for a very long time this winter :)

TF2 gets an 8.5 here while Crysis got a 9.5. I liked TF2 a hell of a lot more.

The voice work is amazing... The voices fit the characters almost perfect and they are nailing the dialogue on the head with this game. It's not trying to be Saving Private Ryan. They said there are going to be emotional parts and I believe them but there is a time where its needed and there is a time where its not. That is like saying Waynes World had bad acting because of what it was trying to be.

Gears of War 2 is not bad,infact its a very good game and the graphics are awesome.But its certainly not the graphics king ! When it comes to best Graphics,there are games like Crysis and Far Cry 2 which are better than Gears.

Though I have been hyped and anticipating Gears 2, Fable 2 & Banjo N&B have been my top two but Wow, that video just made Gears 2 move to the top of my list and is now I think my most wanted game for 2008 !

This game is gonna be funtasic, no doubt about it. :D

Hehe looks really really cool but i wished they would have added more flavour to the gameplay, sure new guns, sure hostages, but it's mostly the same style: shoot cover shoot, it's not as different from the first one, don't get me wrong the first gears was awesome but i wishe they would have added a more certain flavour to gameplay, not only shoot (and slaughter) your way trough the locust :P Al3x_n90

What else could they do in a shooter ?, in essence is all about killing and not being killed, besides vehicles and maybe classes how has any other shooter done it differently?

Yeah see vehicles would be a awesome idea :D and...let's see how should i explain wut i wished for...so, going trough some narrow tunnel and at the end finding something about locust history,like finding their central command or something, how cool would that be? since gears1 doesn't really have a great story and doesn't tells us much about the origins of locusts, you get the idea? Also some boss battles with some new giant locusts :D

Aye i get ya, yeah that would be cool, maybe newspapers or books lying around would be a great way to give some backstory alright. On vehicles, i think we all remember the horrid vehicle section in the first gears :P.

No...i don't think so, only in 1 mission i think...(they showed it in that trailer at E3:P) anyway you don't fin brumaks everywhere after all :D

crysis is good but the gameplay is kind of iffy. the graphics look great and kind of make up for that

farcry 2 is crysis with a different engine and no aliens.

l4d i'm looking forward to but tbh, it kind of looks a little bit like a css mod

yup the character models look so much better, the mp is 10x better, the new weapons are full of win, the frame rate looks much smoother, and the settings are larger and more epic in scale. i noticed a lot of changes to the old weapons and cover system as well. it seems like they thoroughly tweaked everything in the game.

you know what else i noticed that i like.... it tells you who got the down so theres no more confusion, it wont stop noobs from kill stealin though LOL

Left 4 Dead? haven't seen much, but it looks too much like a homebrew Counterstrike mod for my liking

Far Cry 2 looks good, but we were promised a immersive experience with Bioshock....I wasn't immersed though, but I bet it will be good, I need to see some reviews though!

GeOW2 does look good, I have a preorder and Im hoping the multiplayer is actually good this time round, but the new weapon designs and set pieces look immense

Left 4 Dead, PC GOTY and Multiplayer GOTY, you can quote me on it.

That being said, Gears is most likely going to kick ass if it's anything like the first one, but I'm not interested in it. Will pick it up around Christmas, and unless Fable II pulls a fast one, it's guaranteed 360 GOTY.

same thing for other crap talking this game in this thread. unfortunately most of the people doing that are known hermits. unless a game is on pc then its automatically not good and unimpressive. even as a hermit, i find them way too arrogant. a lot of ps3 owners gave gears 2 props which i thought was cool but hermits seem to be hung up on "its on consoles so it must suck" :roll:

Also when did I say this game was unimpressive because it wasn't on PC? Even if it was I wouldn've cared because I wasn't too fond of the first one. I'm sorry if I'm hurting your feelings but people DO have different opinions. I don't even give Crysis and STALKER mega praise. They're solid, but there have been better shooters.

But if you want to what I'm hyping during the fall it's only Left 4 Dead because that's the only game that appeals to me. Warhead, Clear Sky, and Witcher: EE already came out but I was hyping this too.

But wait, let's see what you're gonna do after this post. Are you gonna pull the scores card for Clear Sky and call it a flop and an average shooter despite probably not even playing it? I'm expecting it.
