Honestly to me Halo 3 looks like a high res version of Halo 2

Gameplay is going to be fantastic but hopefully they revamp the graphics bcause right now it looks subpar

compared to whatever else is on 360 at the moment.

tbh what do you expect it to be?  I mean they arnt going to totally drop the art st.yle they have going just to make it look ultra realistic.  You can tell they are arnt going for a realistic look by just looking at the tree's they have the same look as halo 1 tree's just better.  The visuals look fine, they look very smooth for the most part, and to be fair the video isnt a high res one so it probably lost a bit of texture quailty.  

Anyway like they said this still isnt the beta we will be playing on may 16th, this is the internal beta that is using an earlier build, but whether that makes a diffrence in graphics I dont know but just something to take note on. 

I really think this vid looks good for a few reasons:

1. The water. It's already mentioned by frankie, but this looks good noting the waterfall and the water in the capture after that.

2. It has grass. Because of the low resolution you may not notice, but the grass is now everywhere instead of 2d grass in halo 2.

3. The explosions look great too, at least a lot better than halo 2.

4. It's all going to be high res.

5. Kill joy medal. What do you want more?

6. ...The new sticking grenade - the spike grenade!

Edit: forgot the portable man cannon. Now anyone can be a true ninja. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of strategies for CTF including the man cannon.

I doubt you got a pre-order at all but whatever.   Halo has never been about graphics so if you pre-ordered thinking its going to be the best next gen title of all time then that was your fault, Halo is about gameplay not graphics.

Multiplayer looks entertaining, but both Halo 1 & 2 has two of the worst campaigns ever made.

I don't know if I'll enjoy H3 because of its singleplayer.

it looks fantastic to me. the character models, animations, water, moving environment and overall smoothness to the game make it look very pleasing on the eye.

WOW!! this looks nothing like gears ... maybe its the video cuz those graphics are horrible for 360 standards

this game is for the 360 what far cry was for the Wii graphics wise ... nothing like the pics

I think it looks superb! It's all low resolution from that video, yet the animations, style and sharpness of the graphics look incredible! I'm so hyped for Wednesday :DRDS_Phoenix

I'm so wondering if those jump pads when stacked together can send a tank flying up into the air. 

Just watched it again - I love how the guy headshot snipes that other guy after jumping on the launch pad - you can see down below into the canyon, it just looks immense!

 :D finally happy with how Halo 3 looks :D

No offense but if you think Zelda is better looking than Halo 3 you have issues and I can't help you.

Gamebaby, you're being rediculous. That video looks excellent, there's no need to be so 'anti Halo' or whatever it is you're trying to do. The point is - we're not interested in how crappy you think it looks because you feel like you should, for some reason, defend another format. It looks great, just as Resistance looks ok and Motorstorm looks excellent, and Zelda TP (my favourite game of 2006) looks stunning. Just accept that other formats have games that look damn good.

 Oh, and for information - the water effect in Zelda was exactly that - an effect. Halo 3's water is volumetric. It adapts and reacts, rather than just responds.

Although I'm fine with the game looking like this...I'm sure it'll look better...though it really is funny to see Lems justify the gamplay over graphics model when all they do is talk about how much better 360 games look and will continue to look.

Can't wait for this game :D. It may actually get me away from playing Gears.

I guess this guy never saw the water in LAIR - the best looking and moving water ever seen in a video game, fully driven by advanced physics. Crysis's and Halo 3's (lol) look last-gen compared to it.
