Well, I don't think there has been all that much Halo. There are so many other franchises that have released at a faster rate. It's been 6 years and all there has been are two full Halo games and one side story. Compare that to how many Ratchet and Clanks, or Uncharteds or Motor Storms there are, even though the PS3 came out well after the 360.

This looks fantastic.

I really hope they decide to remake Halo 2 as well after this.

After playing Reach I can't help but notice how the gunplay is dated in comparison. They didn't have to keep everything the same in this remake.

Don't you remember the outlash a few weeks ago? A bunch of angry fans went in a rage over not being able to buy a limited edition charity item. Their fanbase is pretty bad :?

Can't wait for this game. I love the added Co-Op feature for the remake. Bungie/343i always listens to their fans.

Looks like it's going to be good.But best remake belongs to Resident Evil or Tomb Raider Anniversary in my opinion.

I don't think any remakes will come close to being as good as that. I personally thought Twin Snakes was a very good remake, but it seems SW doesn't think so.

Is it me, or is that on GS, whenever someone criticises a game, they automatically dislike it?

How are games ever going to improve without critisicism? Halo as a series has began to stagnate to the point that people want it to return to it's 10 year old gameplay.

Well, in this case, yes I think it very well may just be you, as I can't speak for everybody, but when someone comes out and says, "Halo is awful. Like really, really awful.", most people would interpret that as extreme dislike, irregardless of what you claim otherwise. What do you expect people to think?

Otherwise this is looking to shape up nicely. Can't beat the price.

Looks great. Definitely a day 1 buy. I'm excited for the MP, hoping it's more like the original Halo than Reach. Though Reach is awesome.

still think halo has some of the best reload animations/melee combat in FPS's. just looks satisfying. soapandbubbles

Personally I find that only in CE. Maybe becasue they were all different. I hope 343 brings that back in Halo 4.

I would buy this in a heart beat if it included ALL the MP maps, not just 7 (not hard to figure out why they picked that number though :P).

That classic mode is such a neat feature. This is such an excellent thing for fans of the series.

yeah, but it's dissapointing that the animations are the same crude original versions. probably have to do that when they're running 2 engines at once, but I'd have liked the more realistic feel of Reach with the enviorments and atmosphere of Combat Evolved.

I thought the first Halo was a solid game, but my real love lies with Halo 2.

I don't think I'll get this game. Looks good for the fans of the first of course.

I'm not sure what his malfunction is, but the price was announced at 39.99 USD on every major video game site, retailer and 343 Industries themselves.

me too. I like halo 2 single player. thought it was awesome

I just can't get excited about playing the same exact game I already beat several times 10 years ago, especially when the multiplayer is just a map pack for Reach. I'm ready for Halo 4.

I'm glad that they're keeping things the same in anniversary but yet I'm slightly disappointed because it would be cool if they added a few weapons from halo 2 or reach into the campaign. And other stuff like high jacking and picking up energy swords from elites. Still though I am for sure gonna get this.

I'll basically be buying a 40 dollar map pack because I can still pop in halo 1 just like about probably at least 75 percent of everyone that buys this.

edit: a remake is suitable in say... 20 to 35 years later... not just 10 years later...
