New Heavy Rain Info!

The man behind the game says that QTEs will play a minor part in the gameplay. Apparently it wont be a full blown game full ofQTEsas many and I thought.

thanks for the info, the game is the only thing im buying a ps3 for.

It is mature through its storytelling and its moments that reflect true things that happen in foresnics. People working in the foresnics field have some of the most gruesome jobs on this planet.

It does not need a bunch of killing and exploding heads to be mature.

The game looks like pretentious fail TBH, what exactly is it? i can't seem to figure out where the actual gameplay will feature. does it have any? The line about "Emotion simulator" made me want to hurl, if these guys could insert their heads any further into their rectums they would cause some kind of space time inversion. It just sounds like a good game that deviates from the norm. The industry has already grown up on shooters so it would be nice to see just one game use something else as its medium.

Nobody knows EXACTLY what it is.....but nobody knows exactly what Alan Wake is either and we're looking forward to that also. The thing is it looks so different than anything most of us play regularly, so its intriguing. I dont think anyone is saying AAA for this, as nobody has any real hands on impressions for it yet....but from the gameplay videos ive seen it looks absolutely incredible. The split screen part where the killer is coming up the stairs and you're trying to hide looks so intense. It makes the tension in RE5 look weak.

iv been looking forward to this game for a long time. i hope it sells well because we need more games like this.

the success of the 360 and FPS games in my opinion have stunted the growth of gaming with to many developers going taking the easy route of making ANOTHER FPS/3rd person shooter.

financially its the right thing to do but in the long run i think its really hurting the creativity and advancement of gaming in general.

Honestly, I am the same way, I will buy games and trade them in because I get bored off a wim, the only games I have that I love this gen are madworld, overkill, mario kart wii, mgs4, and I am sure I will love pokemon platinum. In the future, the only game I am remotely interested in is god of war 3, maybe ninja gaiden sigma 2, but we shall see.

If you've played through Fahrenheit, you would have more of an idea of what he is talking about. I'm glad there are some companies out there trying new things to strive to push video games forward, instead of just relying on the same old concepts and gameplay. That's basically all he's claiming in the article. Nothing pretentious about that.

I'm glad there are some companies out there trying new things to strive to push video games forward, instead of just relying on the same old concepts and gameplay. I'm not going to lie.

I enjoyed the cutscenes in MGS4 even though they where longer than longcat.

Hopefully Heavy Rain will be as entertaining as those cutscenes.
