The game looks like pretentious fail TBH, what exactly is it? i can't seem to figure out where the actual gameplay will feature. does it have any? The line about "Emotion simulator" made me want to hurl, if these guys could insert their heads any further into their rectums they would cause some kind of space time inversion. "You can't play be the same old rules" WTH does that even mean?! And the line i hold most contempt for is "Its tome for our industry to grow up" :| yeah, the industry is already grown up enough TY, we don't need you to pretend to do it. thegoldenpoo
I agree that David Cage can be a little pretentious some times. But he does have some interesting ideas. I liked a lot of what he done in its last games.
There are videos of gameplay, if you want to know, go check them, or play indigo Prophecy, as the gameplay of HR will be an evolution of that.
Emulation Simulator does sound lame. But it transmits what David Cage wants with the game. Inspire emotions, take the player in a ride of feelings.
You can't play with the same old rules simply means that we need to search for new ways to play games. yeah, some will say "bu bu bu, interative movieee!!!", and others will be inspired to search and make similiar gameplay investiments. At the end, Cage wants to "blow" players effectivily, in an emotional sense, so new ways need to be searched.
At last, I agree with him when he says that the industry needs to grow. It needs to present more mature themes. At is current state, it's obvious that videogames are aimed to teens and people that like just to entertain themeselves while blowing stuff meaningless. No reason for that to stop. But it would be very welcome to see adult games coming out, reinforcing them as storytelling devices.
