You're missing some info there. Yes, R2 moves the character forward but you control the character's head with the left control stick whihc moves him in the direction he is moving. So you do control him.

You hold R2 to walk, you use the left analog stick to control his or her's direction. Were basically talking about tank controls (a control scheme that will no doubt generate a lot of haters). It helps Heavy Rain maintain cinematic camera angles without confusing the player, although I've yet to see a gameplay vid that didn't make the character's movements look jittery because of this.

Yeah I stated that reason, but to be honest I probably would have preferred it if I had the option to use the directional pad for my tank controls. If they're going down that road they might as well give me something that I'm used too, when it was first explained it just seemed a hell of a lot more awkward. But we'll see how it feels.

Any of those sites legit???? You know IGN, Giant Bomb, Gamespot, GameInformer, Gametrailers the sites that actually do this professionally and not some blog type reviewer that is 3 dudes working out of their mom's basement.
