Looks ok, but not as good as expected. The textures look kind of bland. I thought the game plays like a side scroller, and hence expected better graphics.

textures are okay?... maybe my computer is missing a "texture card".. but if i'm not mistaken,these screens are pretty old (just not in High res). It could be just from an old build....

can't really disagree with that. backgrounds and many parts of the environment stick out like sore thumbs, visually. very low res or lacking any interesting textures.Â

PS3 strong point is NOT textures, see Lair that has PS2 textures, HS would not be better, that is why they post only small pics !!!! PS2 textures are hidden in small pics !!!
Why does everybody judge a game on the screenshots especially when it is not finished yet. Either wait till its complete or watch it running on a screen that is worthy of showing its potential.
Its not just this game. Other games like Lair, Mass Effect and Halo 3 are being judged months before they are schedule for release. In the future wait till their finished before coing to a final verdict.

surely with texture streaming they can do better than thiis....

This game looks amazing to me... honestly those of you who complain about textures dont realise that you wont be looking at that for 2 hours it's the overall presentation of the game that matters.... the whole experience.... and i see nothing wrong with the texture [know how hard it is to model and do all that crap, dont take it for granted]
game looks great to me and the artstyle and colors are very beautiful in my opinion...
The game isn't finished and those are some pretty large up close screens. Zoom in on any game screenshot and those textures won't look as nice either. Also consider the NextGen gameplay. It's not all about graphics.
