Halo 3 is still built off of Halo 1's code with higher textures and better lighting. :|

last time i played halo 3 was at a lan and i spacifically rememeber tryign to find my shadow in that level with the big turning wheel. and the lighting in halo 3 is nothing special at all.

i completely agree. halo 3 is ocmpletely overlooked in SW (graphics wise). it looks absolutely goregous. hell it looks even better than KZ2. it really does.

oh and one last thing: IMO ;)

i mean just look at that picture of the white spartan... hell it looks like a replica. if halo 3 didn't have as many jaggies it would be graphics king for certain.

Looks VERY nice. Wondering if it'll support 1080p, looking to be on the much higher part of the spectrum in terms of graphics. It's coming along beautifully.

Seriously it looks great, but that blurr drives me nuts. Plus everything we've seen so far looks exactly the same, and I want some variety and uniqueness to rear it's head.

seriously though it doesnt look that much better than halo, they just have different art styles. The real question will be gameplay, because Halo 3 has a good foundation from 1 & 2, but Killzone 1 was horrible

good point. KZ2s weapons are so bland and mediocre i can't see a single one being *iconic* like the gears lancer bayonet, or the halo 3 everything. i mean you get an assault rifle that looks like the quake 4 one but greyed up a bit, and a rocket launcher. that looks like a grey cylinder

Halo 3 does look better. Killzone really only has really good loking guns, some buildings and lighting, but it has horrible textures, all over the place. I have yet to truly be wowed with Killzone 2's graphics yet other than the amaing looking guns and lighting.

WAIT!!! It still has next year to come out, and hopefully it will have better looking textures. But for the time being, Halo 3 does look a little better. Not BIG, but little.

Give me a break, Resistance trumps any of those games with almost all it's weapons. In the end, all Halo's weapons do is just shoot bullets (Or lasers). Some stronger, and others with a longer/wider range. Wanna a recap on Resistance? Every weapon other than the Carbine had a unique secondary fire. Bullseye tagged enemies, Hailstorm would release temporary turrets, Auger would shoot through walls and set up barriers, and the Sapper could set up mines that could be set up in multiple ways.

I never said KZ2 had a vast array of weaponry, I'm more excited for the game on the same reasons most people are. Graphics, hopefull they add some unique bosses, which Gueriila said they already had done on their boards.

Enough with the Halo 3 talk....the devs themselves said they are going for a realistic sort of future. skiddy666

I have halo 3 as well and it does not look better than kz2....and those halo 3 pics 2 pages ago are obviously doctored. Halo3 has what looks like no AA and its not even 720p. The textures on the marines look god awful as well.

I can't express how much I'm hyped for this game.

Fanboy goggles are preventing some posters from seeing the true beauty.

saying halo 3's textures are awful is just plain wrong... especially when you are praising KZ2s graphics. there's also the fact that endless gears, uncharted, and killzone 2 screenshots have made me sick of seeing those games, and seeing halo 3 is a real breath of fresh air. merf, i still think halo 3 looks better.

Have you seen/played the whole game yet? Keep your assumptions to yourself until you have.
