New Mario Galaxy intro vid. Best graphics so far on Wii!

This is way beyond what I think alot of people thought the Wii was capable, just watch when the video shows the whole town and the lake nearby. The Wii is definetly not a "Gamecube 1.5", when developers start producing games like this, I don't think they'll be many more complaints about the console being underpowered.

uuum, that statement doesn really make sence... yes, those graphics do look better then what could be done on XBox, alot better... now whats your point?

EDIT: OMG invasion of the Xbox fanboys. Guys firstly watch the video, it doesn't just look good in comparison to Wii graphics, it looks very very nice full stop, compared to current games. I'd be happy if a PC game looked like that, it's beyond technical achievments, the artistic design and the technology have come together so well it just looks great regardless of system.

having the best graphics on Wii is like being the thinest kid at fat camp. :D

still the intro does give the game some credit, and hopefully this will be a respectable mario game.

hey you nintendo fanboys are worse then us microsoft fanboys just cuz u cant except the fact that the 360 and for that matter the ps3 beats the Wii in about every way possiable cept the new "hands on" controlling. Which IMO(since i have a Wii) isnt that special compared to graphics, good controller, more/better games, and online play

Normally, no, that wouldn't be saying much considering the Wii's library, but in SMG's case, it's one of the most impressive looking games so far this gen to many people, including me.

eh. For something with that style, those kinds of "graphics" are expected. Simple geometry, small environments should garner better textures and sharpness. But yes, with the pallet and lighting, it does look pretty good. I'd still rather look at MP3, but mario has style too.

Only problem with intro, they really just have such a... bland intro. No real story, probably just as bad at Sunshine. Its like a mix of that wierd Sonic (360/PS3) trailer, and Paper Mario. But o well, didn't expect story from a mario game :-P, Gameplay looks solid still, so i might pick this game up still.

the graphics look amazing. Not only the graphics, but the art style helps so much. Look at the reflection of the castle in the water.

Fanboys try to spin this and be like "Well.. the graphics still suck" Watch that video and tell me, honestly, that they suck.

I have a 360 and have nothing against it, infact I really enjoy it, I'm not the fanboy here. *points at raider47*. Honestly it's ironic your insulting fanboys in a post that obviously shows how much of a fanboy you are. Firstly the PS3 and 360 beat the Wii in terms of graphics, I never even said they didn't your just after a fight there. Secondly, saying the other consoles beat the Wii "in every way" is just another blanket fanboy comment.

Why am I even talking to you, go back into your house and play your console to your hearts content, leave the rest of us to enjoy the real world where we can accept the fact that multiple companies can release competing products without us having to jump on some bandwagon.

Yeah sure thing. Mind you that the game runs at 60fps. Definitely not happening on the xbox, sorry.

I honestly do not think it looks that great, it definently doesn't look bad. And yes, that water looks great. But I think it could be done on the xbox, so what?

Maybe I just don't like the art style, but it also doesn't seem to be that technically great either.

Who cares how a Mario Platformer looks anyhow? Its the gameplay that will make this game great (unless the controls suck..)

You have to remember that most Next Gen gamers have been playing games like PDZ, Oblivion, Gears, Bioshock, H3, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, ect.. If you ask one of them to judge the graphical quality of this game... they will say it looks last gen..

If you put it that way, forget technical graphics then... the art style is among the best I've seen this generation so far, with Metroid Prime 3, and Bioshock, being my top picks thus far...

Not to sound like a moron. But isn't the Conker:L&R screenshot you have there from a cinamatic? I don't remember, I just remember playing it from the N64 version. But, only fair to compare gameplay against another gameplay screenie. Not like there will be too much of a diff.
