"there's a noticeble step up in the quality of the graphics from Xbox to PS3"

I think the improvement in graphics was due to the new updated gaming engine, not the platform. I'd probably look more forward to the uncompressed audio though, if they used that.lamprey263
True that, but then again it would have looked the same even with the original UE engine. If not, better because of the 1 year developement.
[QUOTE="Boomshaffted"]You do realize Lemmings have had this game for a year already, right?...SwagSurf
Does that matter for PS3 only gamers? They get the definitive version (on consoles).
No, I suppose not. But again, I'd much rather have played it a year ago than wait a whole year for the "bragging rights" of a minor graphic upgrade... And the misfortune of having entirely missed the first game. Good for the Cows for getting to finally play it. It's the best game of the generation.[QUOTE="SwagSurf"][QUOTE="Boomshaffted"]You do realize Lemmings have had this game for a year already, right?...Boomshaffted

it's weird though, PS3 gamers will be glad to play a good port of a good game, but they'll be missing out on the original too which is unfortunate, the interactive comic will help make key carry-over decisions but that won't replace the original game, which I still like just as much as ME2 (if not better at times)... on the other hand I wish the Xbox 360 had the interactive comic, I like playing the original but at the same time I wouldn't want to play the entire game just to get those key carry-over decisions when I want to play ME2. I wonder if Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers will get an interactive comic or something with ME3 so they don't have to replay the games, or will EA withhold it in ME3 in hopes people buy ME2.It doesn't even come close to best game of the generation.[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"][QUOTE="Boomshaffted"] No, I suppose not. It's definitely a con that PS3 owners won't experience Commander Shepard's previous adventure, but the comic is enough to let the players understand the plot and what the Normandy team had went through, etc.
360 owners do get the comic as well.

If it's true, it's true; I don't care, because I've already beat the game anyway - and I have a PS3, so if I really want to see it for myself then I'll pick it up. As to what the developer said: I always take these things with a grain of salt, because they've got money they're trying to make. People sure as hell wouldn't be as motivated to go buy the game if they said, "You can finally experience Mass Effect 2 on the PS3...one year later...with graphics that are worse."[QUOTE="SwagSurf"][QUOTE="jalexbrown"] Oh boy...one review that says something - surely it must be true, then. I guess Michael Schumacher should have been excluded because he always won(well, most of the times). This is ME2 not ME1, Who cares about the comic as well as DLC. What makes it definitive on PS3 is because of the better performace and graphics. I know you obviously won't agree because of your lemming side.

you ignored the link request. link please that Bioware themselves said the ps3 demo is an old build? This is ME2 a Sequel to ME1 with changes of storyline and abilities based upon the choices you make in ME1, the Comic book only offers a small portion of the choices you can make in ME1 and not only that the comic book is available to ME2 free download for people on the 360 and pc, Its a year after the initial release, and the DLC and main game can be purchased far cheaper then the ps3 version. No where in the review does it say preform better it says looks better nothing about preformance.
P.S: cows complain about cost, Xbox live fee's...etc constantly by their own logic they would rather own the main game and its DLC for about 40 bucks then pay 60 dollars for a possible small increase in graphics.

Just message him just so he can explain everything, message Jesse Houston as well as Casey Hudson at the bioware forums, and he'll say the same thing about performance.
Gamepro, PS blog had a video of Casey Hudson saying that the PS3 version will run and look bette
(PS3 demo an old build).

Casey Hudsun, Jesse Houston, Stanely Woo, and Chris priestly said that it's going to play better and look better.
You're contradicting yourself right now from costs. PS3 gamers/cows don't care about Cost as long as it comes out for PS3. PS3 runs/looks better, no disk-swapping, all DLC, certain armors like the terminus armor, etc.

1.I'm not Contridicting my self Cows consistantly complained about Costs xbox live fee's they should follow that logic and care only about the cost of a thing. 2.Um...I'm pretty sure Terminus armor is on the 360 and pc....infact I know it for a fact. so what we have is. the ps3 version comes out a year later It gets nothing the 360 and PC dont have *since the comic has been made available for the 360 and PC versions* the 360 and PC versions with all the DLC can be purchased for about 30-40 dollars with the ps3 version costing 60 dollars, all the cows get is POSSIBLE better graphics yet again the Review you posted mentions nothing about preformance though I find it funny that ME2 demo on 360 is a final build demo yet the ps3 version is not? And it makes sense especially how the developers would give us an old build, just so final build can bring the WOW factor. If you need proof for performance, Look at the PSBlog video or the Gamepro video that Casey Hudson is in.
But yes your definitely right about the last sentence. Time will tell; pre/post launch. You'll see me post up more PS3 ME2 reviews

I think his point is that since PS3 fanboys constantly talk about how 360 fans are stupid for paying to play online it's kinda ironic that they would pay more than anyone else to play Mass Effect 2 and then try to brag about it.what does XBL fees have to do with this?
even if it IS more expensive XBL fees are recurrent, u dont pay monthly or yearly for Mass Effect 2
so whats the point?

Naw this is completely different, rather opposite. Lemmings are claiming ME2 on 360 is superior because the cost is cheaper, $19.99 and it has ME1. Were comparing 2, not 1.
Actually, I've seen Mass Effect 2 around for twenty bucks new on the 360. The PS3 version is fourty dollars more. The point isn't comparing the two fees but the logic behind the Cows' attitude toward one and the other.even so, price difference from a 360/PC version to a PS3 is only about 20 bucks
how can u compare a yearly fee of 60 (and thats to get online) to 20 bucks?
Whatuptho
Imo whoever wants to play this game now should absolutely play the first one. Strange that Bioware didn't release me1 too in ps3.
edidili
Bioware didn't release Mass Effect to PS3 due to Microsoft owning the publishing rights. The comic is enough for PS3 owners to understand the plot and the major decisions that Commander Shepard had to go with (Kaidan - Ashely, Saving - not saving the council, etc)

I wouldn't say the price makes it superior but it's definitely incentive to get the 360 version over the PS3 version. However, this is really only relevant if you want one or the other. It is kinda ridiculous though that PS3 fans are bragging when they don't even have the original game though. Just shows fanboys will take any kind of victory they can get on either side of the fence.Microsoft has exclusive publishing rights to it. Still you'd think they could find a loop hole or something. Maybe release it under the title of Mass Effect: Origins or Mass Effect: Genesis or something.Imo whoever wants to play this game now should absolutely play the first one. Strange that Bioware didn't release me1 too in ps3.
edidili
It'd probably be cheaper for them to just buy it for their PC. Even if they don't have the specs they could probably upgrade for cheaper. But if they did that they may as well just play Mass Effect 2 on the PC as well.the bragging is definitely annoying
buy a 360 and play Original Mass Effect to fully get the epic experience that is ME2... gameplay over graphics simple as that
Whatuptho
I think the improvement in graphics was due to the new updated gaming engine, not the platform. I'd probably look more forward to the uncompressed audio though, if they used that.lamprey263Who cares WHY they're better, the fact that they're better is all that matters. We had to wait a year to get the game... we might as well get something positive out of it.
