Squad Combat
Different combat and choice decisions make the battles pan out differently. Looking like Mass Effects combat will turn out well after all.

just made a thread, but yours is better

I've been trying to make this thread for like 10 minutes, but GS apparently doesn't like that I'm using their toolbar to link.
Hopefully a demo will be realeased?Led_poison
I wish man but I doubt it. AC really needs a demo IMO, Mass Effect doesn't need one to be a blockbuster hit.
Ah, I've seen this level already. Anyway, can't wait to see more of this game as release approaches.OGTiago
Seeing the same battle from four different perspectives and from four different cl@sses is a good way to show the game I think. Moreso then just more random locations.
gamespot videos don't work for me :cry:beavisofcod2
Is it just the age restriction or just the video in general????
Hmm...it looks fantastic, but I'm not sure that the tactical menu fits this style of gameplay very well.
I mean, it's great that it isn't just a shooter, but pausing the game and managing your team's targets (optional, but useful) looks like it disrupts the flow of the combat a bit too much.
If it was a solid shooter, or a solid turn-based game, the combat would be awesome...but a combination of the two? I'm not sure how that will hold up for every single battle in a 20-40 hour RPG.
Is there any way to set targets and issue commands without pausing/accessing the menu? If you can do that in real-time, then the combat would be more or less perfect.
Don't you have to own a PS3 in order to be a cow?HaloRainbowPuke
No because then the cow population wouldn't be that big. Not many PS3's have been sold....
Actually not really...I have all three but to be a cow there are signs....like random bashing of a system that is obviously amazing. Mine still works and has since launch. Another sign is the fact that this is a Mass Effect thread and you used it as an opportunity to bash the system its on.
Oh but wait you already started a thread bashing the 360 at this very moment and state in it that you wish you would have bought a PS3.....
Put that together equals C O W......so mooo to you pal.

Too me it actually looks more a more well tuned version of the KOTOR combat system, were you could play everthing out in real time or pause the gameto manage and stack your attacks and your teammates. I say more well tuned because you don't have to switch characters to issue commands.
And in the very beginning of the Squad Combat video Shepard issued a movement command to one of his teammates, though I do not know if you can do the same for attacks.
This game makes me wetDirrtyNinjaI'm not sure if you are allowed to say that, so I'm going to report you... just kidding, I won't report you... or will I? Na, I won't... well maybe... or maybe not. :?
Wow that looks boring, and I think rock collecting is exciting...King_of_Sorrow
What's boring? All 4 videos were filled to the brim with action, and quality. Explosions, shotguns, pistols, some gravity manipulation...

video, i downloaded it though, so all good *goes to edit post*[QUOTE="cyborgjak427"]Curse this game for coming out on the same day as Rock Band !!! I'll have to wait to get my hands on it.kevy619
lol, rockband? I thought that was just for casuals
Eh, I'm a addict of anything Guitar Hero . I'm still getting the game around the holiday season though:D.
This is actually the first video I have ever seen of this game but I have heard a lot of talk about ME, so here is my opinion on seeing these videos
PROS:
Good combat mechanics
Good graphics
Great assortment
CONS:
special effects too cheesy and over the top
Textures look dull and uninteresting
Character animations look ridiculous
So far, this game looks good. It may be held back by its unoriginal feel, but it looks good nonetheless.
I think that it will score an 8.5 :).

If Rockband has anything like Dragonforce, I dont think it will be solely aimed for casuals.
sooooooooooooooo, when is it coming for pc?ff7isnumbaone
It is...................unannounced. As of now Mass Effect is 360 exclusive only with Msoft at the production helm

You don't have to use the menu. There are also streamlined controls to give your teammates orders with the d-pad, like to have them move a certain place or attack a certain enemy, ala Rainbow Six: Vegas. You also don't have to give them orders at all, if you don't want, and let them do their own thing and worry about yourself.
[QUOTE="Awinagainov"]ah well. i hope the framerates improveTactis
you know people keep saying that... am i missing something? it looks fine to me
I've had Hands on with the game and there is no framerate issues he just needs something to complain about.
[QUOTE="ff7isnumbaone"]sooooooooooooooo, when is it coming for pc?Elektrik-Blu
in 3 years
Yeah, probably won't be for a while. Every Bioware console game has eventually found its way to PC, and Mass Effect probably will, but I think the wait will be considerably longer than the others unless they just get Obsidian or whoever to do the port. Bioware's busy with Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2.
