The other two look nice, but are they gameplay or just more cinema cut scenes? I'm not bashing the game here, I just want to know more about what the actual gameplay will look like.myke2010

And you know this because you were there? Seriously, for all the people who've played a MGS in the past, which of the 3 screens represents the typical viewpoint for the majority of the game? The second one, of course, and it's not that impressive. That's fine with me because it's always been the gameplay that made the series good, not the graphics. I'll still play this one, but I've seen better graphics this generation on both the PS3 and the 360.Regardless, MGS, MGS2, and MGS3 did not have CG cutscenes (Outside of intro movies and also clips from real life footage)

All 3 pictures are from gameplay whether you like it or not.
Yes I've played, and beaten, every game in the series, including the original on the NES, and the second screen is the typical view for 90% of game. It doesn't look that impressive. Now if Kojima had listened to the legions of fans who asked for a free camera system, like that used in Splinter Cell, then the 1st picture would be more representative of the majority of gameplay and I'd be much more impressed. Giving us the option to play the game in 1st person view is a nice touch, but it's not what most of the people complaining about the camera angle were asking for. Finally, the only reason I asked about whether or not they were cutscenes, was because the 3rd screen looked very similar to part of the original cinematic trailer. Go search for it if you don't believe me.[QUOTE="myke2010"][QUOTE="vitonemesis"][QUOTE="myke2010"]I'm not sure how the second picture, you know the one with the actual gameplay, could be called epic by any means. I never claimed, nor even inferred, that they were CG. What I was trying to find out is which of the 3 pics represented the typical view for the majority of the game. In all past MGS games you played from a top down perspective. If they've moved it to a behind the back view then that's a radical departure from the past camera systems used.[QUOTE="TheManOfChoice"][QUOTE="myke2010"][QUOTE="vitonemesis"][QUOTE="myke2010"]I'm not sure how the second picture, you know the one with the actual gameplay, could be called epic by any means. The free camera system has been implemented into MGS3 subsistence, and MPO and MPO+ and it was stated a long time ago that this game would have the free roaming camera as the main camera mode as well.

Yes, I know subistance had it, but last I heard this version only had a 1st person view, and the top down view. If I'm wrong then great, I hope I am, but I hadn't heard anything about it so far.So are you telling me that MGS4 has a free control camera, cause last I checked it didn't. Yes, I played subsistance, but Kojima didn't head up that port, only the original version. If you're telling me that another version will come out later, with full camera control then I'd just as soon wait for it.myke2010
Even MGS Portable Ops has a free control camera. :?

This new one does have a free control camera. You can also select between first and third person modes.

MGS4 has top down view, first person view, free roam camera, and the Resident Evil 4-behind-the-shoulder camera all in one that you can switch on the fly depending on how you want to play.
