But they promise the singleplayer experience is still their main priority :)

And a new gif
This topic is locked from further discussion.
hopefully they can pull it off. max payne 3, uncharted 2/3, and mass effect have multiplayer are suppose to be pretty decent that didnt tarnish the single player experience.
The original wasn't that fun for me. The new one certainly 'looks' good, so I'm kinda anticipating it.
Improved combat?
Sold.
And lol "We think the campaign will be as long as the original Metro 2033..... multiplayer is a significant portion of the game". Shorter it is then.
Game aesthetically looks way different than the first too. The original felt very European PC game looking. This one has enough filters to make Killzone blush.
Looking forward to this game, nevertheless. Always liked it's "First Person Kinda-Not-Shooter" concept.
I agree about the visuals. While artistically it looks largely the same, that rough European game vibe has left with all these filters. I kinda liked that vibe though, it games like Penumbra and Cryostasis a lot of charm to me.
I didn't see any "New gameplay" all this stuff was shown last week already. Nice interview though
Also the guy is right, what if the 2012 apocalypse did actually happen and we never got to play those games pushed to 2013 :o That would suck lol
As long as the SP campaign is solid first, I will be happy. I couldnt really care less about the MP for this, a bit like when they announced MP for Bioshock 2.
[QUOTE="WeepsForFools"]is it co-op or competitive? competitive would be retarded..rjdofuwhy not both? Why would you want competitive? Nazis vs Metro-ers(?). Competitive is unnecessary, it's a survival game, co-op is the only logical choice.
is it co-op or competitive? competitive would be retarded..WeepsForFoolsIt is going to be some dumb horde mode. I can feel it.

Ugh please no. A cool seperate campaign for co-op would be cool, you and your mates sneaking around, sharing supplies and stuff. Horde mode would totally kill the atmosphere the game tries so hard to evoke
Lets hope the game is better optimised this time around. Really scales poorly with 1 GPU on the highest settings.
It most likely is![QUOTE="TheGuardian03"]So i hope its not delayed for Multiplayer. mitu123
They said before it was delayed to better coincide with other THQ releases next year as they had plans to crank out a couple of titles and really try to hit home with them one after another.
But it could be a cover up for being delayed for MP. I won't judge it too harshly yet though, could work.
Why would you guys not want a delay for the multiplayer? That means none of the planned single player development time is being compromised!

Never thought about it that way
But the MP is being developed by another set of people as opposed to the SP team anyway
Not really interested in multiplayer.
Just make sure you give me a fun and engaging SP like the first one and I'll be a happy gamer.

I'm sure they still work toghether, as they still have to use the same assets (Unless they are pulling a Medal of Honor on our asses)

Anyway doesn't bother me because i'm buying it for SP as everyone else is. A Co-op focused MP is the way to go for Metro. In the campaigns you usually have a buddy and do a lot of stuff together in it. Would create a cool atmosphere.
Or they could be total idiots and do a horde/competitive mode

Yeah, Horde mode would just kill the whole package for me. It's not like Metro's gunplay was it's strong point, and it will just kill the atmosphere. I would love to see a seperate co-op campaign instead of merely co-op for the single player
