Where's the green here? Its odd some of these shots are so green and others aren't. Says to me that those green shots come from a particular scene or part fo the game. Don't seem to represent the game as a whole. I don't think we'll be seeing so much green.

Those screens aren't new, there just from the latest trailer that was revealed at TGS '07. Adrian_Cloud

trailer is old. but screens are new and in a decent resolution. but it's possible that they removed the green since then, or it's just in cutscenes or some level....

how can you tell? they are all in uniform and they have scarfs :P.. maybe underneeth that there are unique personalities...

Wow, the trivial statements in your posts most certainly do nothing to further anyone's impression of your intelligence.

First off, look at the original screen shot the TC posted. Now look at the one I did. See the HUGE difference? That's all i was saying. yes, all screen shots have a green tint, that's the look the devs are going for. You don't like it, don't buy it. My guess is, you don't even own a PS3.

Second, to even mention Wii in the same breath as this game is nothing short of delusional. If the look of the background cars is the worst thing to happen to this game, I think its pretty successful. Look at Snake, he alone would make a Wii fry.

They've had the same screens on IGN for months, but your right the resolution is decent. If people have SEEN THE GAMEPLAY the GREEN FILTER is NOT nearly as appearant as in the previous cut-scenes. Ryan Payton said that they have been adjusting the different type of filters from day one.

These are the same people who complain that Gears was monochromatic. Sheesh! Why post these ugly images. Are you trying to make people not want the game?

wow every one is dumping all over this game because of the green tint. i guess now one on this site has ever played a medal gear solid game before because they all have the green tint affect. looks like the 360 fans don;t relize this.GARRYTH

The first one did, alot. The 2nd one did (not as much as the first), mostly when you were naked inside REX running around. And the third used it a lot too, this one seems to use it outside, and not inside.

OMG if you guys are going to sell anyone on this game you need to not say that it is like 2. 2 is the reason I don't care for the series anymore. Talk about a lame, convoluted ending.

Besides aren' cows the ones who knocked Gears for not having enough color? Gears seems to have much more then this though.

Oh my gosh it has a green tint. Wow I guess looking at the screen shots of Assasins Creed it would have a gray tint, and Gears of War has a brownish tint, and also Crysis has a greenish tint through most of the game too. And they all sucked...

Get over it guys, you need to see it in motion to judge the graphics, and then again you'd have to play it first to real judge how good it is.

I got to say the game is looking quite bland we have the green tint on top of that the less than interesting enviroments that appear to be just different shades of the same colour!

I live in England and well looking out of my window at work on a tucked away industrial estate i can see more colours! Im actually getting a tad concerned for this game at the moment.

Although i must say in motion watching the Videos the game looks a hell of a lot better but i still think they are treading on thin ice here, if they are going for realistic enviroments which it looks like they are then they need to realise thateven a dust covered city like the one featured has more colour than my office wall.

what's with thinking more color is better in this case....? they are creatimg an atmosphere... look at halo3.. no atmosphere.

Your fanboy. Theres no denying that. They look good and most games look better in motion and on a 50 inch plasma as do all other games. Screenshots do not justify ingame or playing it for yourself.

Im not a fanboy and there is denying that.

Last gen I owned all three for these reasons:

PS2 - most and arguably best games

xbox - by far the best graphics

gamecube - amazing in house games

Im just no sold on PS3 yet because to justify buying another half a grand system there would have to be much more and better games on the system. As of right now it makes more sense to take that 500 bucks and buy games or something else more useful.

I have not bought a Wii because I can't find one in the stores.

I have no brand loyalty. Im not a manticore either because they tend to buy all systems. I think Im just a whore because I will go to whatever company or system that provides the best experience. Next gen that might be SONY in which case Ill buy PS4.

possibly yeah but in this case i still agree with him. mgs4 does not look that great as of right now. we'll wait and see how polished it gets.

It's all been said before, but everything looks kind of flat :-X. Honestly, it reminds me of Max Payne 2. It doesn't look much better than a DX8-class game in these screenshots... And the green tint, 'atmosphere-builder' though it may be, doesn't help things.

That's not to say it won't be a great game, but it's hard not to be underwhelmed by shots like this - these are old shots, so hopefully there's some improvement happening.

I loled but as an explanation I should clarafy(SP?) that I mean all the folds and creases in their clothes are the same and all their gear as worn the same it's almost like there is only one modle!
