New MGS4 Trailer...Shadow Moses.

kojima comes up with such great ideas .. i hope this playable flashback thing is true

or it might be a clever mix of cut-scenes

the footage could be Shadow Moses later in the game, where Snake has perhaps reversed the aging thing or something .. it's MGS, anything can happen!

remember the Sean Bean look-a-like in one of the earlier trailers?

I bet the dream snake is seeing isnt a flashback of MGS1, something totally different.

I mean, in the shadow moses scene we see Snake coming from a direction, that was completly not there in the original MGS. How could that be a flashback then? Where are all the lights pouring on the ground looking for snake?

I bet thats during MGS4, with an a snake entirely. Like the one we saw at the end of TGS 06 trailer.

Or I just dont have a clue :P

The whole point of that video is that you will be able to "replay" MGS. I think this is cool because;

a) Kick back to "hardcore" fans who have followed the entire series or played any of the MGS games (assuming the dreams/flashbacks cover parts of the entire series)

b) Allows casual players who have never played MGS or are not aware of the story to catch up on the plot with playable sequences instead of watching a FMV or "story board" type sequence.

This game reeks of EPIC WIN. 2008 is going to be a great year for gamers. GTA IV, MGS IV, Gears 2, Fable 2, Resistance 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Fallout 3. These are just a few of my most anticipated titles, sure to be some other gems this year too.

the question is ... when will the epic confrontation of rex and ray happen , and how exactly will it fit in the story ?

because if shadow moses will be used only for flashbacks , then it can't be during these sequences .

That 'epic' confrontation is only a small part of the epicness according to EDGE. It gets ALOT better.

I mean imagine parts of MG1 and MG2, as well as MGS2 and MGS3....
