Yeah in regards to the graphics, this game just doesn't have that "wow" factor that the first Ninja Gaiden game on Xbox had when it first came out. I guess I had my hopes a little too high when I predicted NG2 would be the game that would really show what 360 was capable of graphically (like NG Black was for Xbox).
But awell, gameplay is the most important and the main reason why I like this series so much. But mind-blowing graphics just add that extra flare and help enchance the experiece but its not as important as gameplay. I guess we will have to wait for Ninja Gaiden 3 on Xbox 720 if we want "mind blowing" graphics.
I recognize NG's accomplishments in the genre but beat-em' up (maybe cut'em up is more appropriate) games are incredibly boring for me.espoac
Have you played any modern NG game? It'll keep you on your toes, believe that. Boring is the last word you could use to describe it. NG actually requires some strategy and some thinking, at least on the higher difficulties. And that's rare for a game of its type.
[QUOTE="JiveT"][QUOTE="Wasdie"]Sorry to say im not that impressed. I hope they will improve the texutres and just overall level detail.
Character models are top notch.
Very gorey as well.

And you are usually so positive when it comes to games for 360.
This is looking SUHWEEET!! It should be a very satisfying gameplay experience. I love the scythe.
Im just doing what lemmings do to PS3 games when shots are posted.
Im not denying the gameplay, that will probably be solid. The graphics need work though.
[QUOTE="humber_matus"]its good thing that the gameplay is excelent ... because those graphics suck ass.PS3_3DO
They are better then Sigma's. :|
I think the graphics are decent, you have to watch it in motion to really appreciate it. But if they are better then Sigmas I would say just barely for the most part ( texture quality, lighting and character desighn) all look almost identical to sigma. I would say it wins in the fact it takes more detail on the blood and how you can whack off body parts.
What I find very Ironic though is the fact that DMC4 for both the PS3 and 360 visually trounce this game and it is a multiplat. I dont know if its just because Capcom is that good? Or if Itagki is slacking off.
Color me unimpressed. SIGMA looks identical to this and DMC4 trounses it. Gameplay ofcourse is very good but I prefer DMC.Blue-Rose
Nah the character models are by far better in NG2, the textures I would however say are around the same as sigma and DMC4 looks on par graphically with it but doesn't beat it. Gameplay wise I'd say NG2 will still be the king of the genre but if you can't keep the pace of NG then DMC is probably the right pacing for the genre for people like yourself.
Wow, there's a lot of hate for this game, what's the deal?SOedipus
Mostly because all games that are top of there genres get this kind of treatment, even GTA suffers from it even though its pretty much the king of its genre.

Secondly, I own NGS but I've been playing DMC longer and prefer it, it has nothing to do with pacing. I can even tell you some moves from the game off the top of my head lol
DMC is just better IMO.
The graphics really have aged.. It doesn't look all that great.
I'm sure it will be a fun game though.

Holy crap, you fanboys need to stop arguing and just agree to disagree. You guys are arguing about which game has better gameplay, when it's clearly subjective.
[QUOTE="Chutebox"]Looks the same as Sigma to me, but the gameplay is where NG shines. So I'm not too bothered by it. Also, I didn't read the interview but in the title it says 1080p, what's the deal with that?PS3_3DO
The 360 can do 1080p you know.
Upscales to 1080p...huge difference.

Opinions are opinion, thats what makes system wars what it is blue rose ;)
Everytime you post in system wars you are addressing everyone that posts here, stating your opinion here is like asking 100 people to prove you wrong, if you can't handle that around here then you might want to leave cause this won't be the first time or the last time someone addresses your post then you don't aim it specifically at them.
Dragonfire I'm not a fanboy, I just stated my opinion against his which is what many people do around here :P

Take a look at Virtua Tennis 3 and say that again. While you're at it, look for the true native resolutions of all the supposed 1080p PS3 games. I know the Ps3 games aren't native 1080p, I never claimed they were. Just saying there is a big difference between upscalled and native.
OK, you were trying to say that the 360 couldn't do 1920x1080 (full-resolution 1080p)...but then, neither can the PS3, it seems.Huh? I know the Ps3 games aren't native 1080p, I never claimed they were. Just saying there is a big difference between upscalled and native.

PS. What is the native resolution of VT3? Everyone claims it is full-res 1080p (1920x1080), but I can't find any proof one way or the other.

Well, Ps3 can do 1080p native because of the Blu-Ray disc, but whether the ram or whatever takes it can handle it and everything else, I don't know. I do know that 360 upconverts everything to 1080p though, as can Ps3. I don't know, we'll see lol.
I also hear about VT3 doing native 1080p, there was a link to the nerds who found out that Halo3 was 640p, maybe they have a list of games' resolutions. I know I saw a list of games and their native resolutions.

BluRay is irrelevant to the 1080p argument. The PC has proven that time and again. RAM and chipset capability are the big factors in determining 1080p capability. And last I checked, both the RSX and the Xenos are a bit underpowered and short on RAM for a consistent job.[QUOTE="JiveT"][QUOTE="Wasdie"]Sorry to say im not that impressed. RAM and chipset were the other two factors I was referring to.
Storage capacity has nothing to do with it. It's all about the chipsets. Where storage comes into play is the quality of the textures, which become more sensitive at the higher resolutions, but this has nothing to do with the pure capability to display 1920x1080 natively.Well, wouldn't space on disc or hard drive in a computers case also be a factor as to why a game can go 1080p native or not? What's so crap about it graphics?
Lets see, it's got shiney character models with relatively low-res environments? That sounds a lot like MGS4. I guess MGS4 has crap graphics too :o

No. Its not like a movie the frames are generated on the fly, not stored on the disk. Doom can be renered in 1080p. The power of the GPU is the most important factor with video ram capacity a distant second.
