New Painkiller coming

I never got a chance to to play painkiller since it was overshadowed by a lot of of other games

Never played Painkiller but the trailer for this new game does look very cool.

Looks nice but I will wait for more gameplay trailers in the future to see if the game will be good before I get excited for it.

Hard pass. I'm only interested in Doom: Dark Ages.

Not really my type of game, but it looks pretty good for what it is. Personally I'd rather see a AAA developed Gungrave.

Didn't see a stake gun though. If there's no stake gun, I will complain a lot. Shooting enemies making them them fly back and get stuck in the wall was my greatest joy in the first game.

Haven't played the series but looks cool.

Expect it'll scratch a similar itch to modern Doom.

If you haven't played Painkiller, go to GOG right now and buy the Black edition. It is peak run and gun fun. Hope this new version doesnt have any Glory kill QTE/ammo managment stuff like the new doom games. The new Doom games are great, but i wish the QTE kill button was gone.

Love this trailer, looks like its staying true to the original But with a beautiful new face. Good ole fashion spray and pray.

Not familiar with the new developer working on this. Google says its a studio from Poland (Ansher). I love the original made by People Can Fly. Says they are working with 3D realms and Saber who made Space Marine 2. Sounds promising.

Going to replay the Black Edition because the internet brought up Painkiller again. Cant wait to see the stake gun in this.

The funny thing is when Painkiller first came out, it really was better than both Quake and Doom at the time

It was 2004 and Doom was doing Doom 3 (more slow paced survival horror) and Quake released Quake 4 soon after (one of the weakest Quake games in the series) I was a teen and remember a time where painkiller was the best, better than Quake or Doom (but didn't have the same kind of name recognition) Its been dormant pretty much ever since, they did a remake of the original recently hell damnation but most people dont recognize it, one of those great games that if you didn't hop on it at the time it just kind of slipped into the abyss.

Doom (2016) was a clone of Painkiller (2004) ironically

Painkiller was a solid B-grade shooter. I don't remember the sequels ever topping the original game, but maybe it'll feel fresh again in 2025.

Looks badass. I hope the stake gun is alive and well. I loved impaling enemies and having them stick to a wall.
