Gray/Grey/Checkers or R/S/E Remakes. If Gray comes out on 3DS, I may choose to buy one later on. At some point, that other analog stick will have to be integrated into a new model. I'll buy it then. If it's Gen 3 Redux, it would be nice to see the original Battle Frontier return, seeing as how HG/SS' was copied and pasted from Platinum.

3DS is'nt failing either, consoles have come out before, and many have had rough starts. There's plenty of time for devs to get a handle and start pumping out more titles.

I think the point he was trying to make is...no console where a MAIN Pokemon installment has appeared has failed.

Masuada announces Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remakes for 3DS. We all know that's what it is.

I hope it is a Pokemon Gray, hopefully a 3D game (Not stereoscopic). IMO, a Ruby/Sapphire remake would be a waste.

Why do people want a R/S remake so bad? It was the least interesting Pokemon games in the series (in my opinion anyway).

This sounds really interesting. Masuda has never announced a spin off game before, and he only takes the stage to announce mainline Pokemon games (such as HeartGold/SoulSilver and Black/White). Are we looking at an announcement of a possible Pokemon Grey? Maybe Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remakes? Or maybe, even better, the sixth generation of Pokemon?

Whatever it is, a new mainline Pokemon game, in addition to Monster Hunter, Mario Kart and Super Mario will make the 3DS an unstoppable force.

Pokemon MMO sounds awesome in theory, but I don't see how it would work out well in practice. Would everyone start with the same few Pokemon choices? Then you get issues like min/maxers and everyone will eventually have the exact same Pokemon since they're the best.Zero5000X

Pokemon Stadium 3D is the only right answer. Local play, minigames, all 5 gens gym leaders, all pokemon, pokepedia, black/white/diamond/pearl/platinum emulating with 3x speed and surfing pikachu = 30 million sales.

On a side note, 3DS is shaping up to be a really great handheld. Nintendo does not disappoint in this department.

The only aspect that would be difficult to implement that I can think of is how you'd progress (level up), it could turn out to be grindy.

It would be equally about living in the world like a sim and battles, not endgame based like WoW which heavily relies on content patches. What I mean is that yeah it's possible to get lvl 100, but that shouldn't be the 'goal'. You can measure progress in several other ways (collect them all, win fashion/pokeathlon contests, pokemon happiness), not just levels or how many gym badges you gained.

500+ pokemon, several anime seasons and 5 regions worth of content would be massive.

You forgot GBA emulating as well as being able to collect the entire dex in Stadium as well as a massive trade station, where people can hook their DS'es (preferably DS Lites and up to 3DS) to the game and trade all over the world as well as locally.Deihjan

I would leave GBA emulation for the eventual Ruby/Sapphire remakes :P

Speaking of the PokeDex, they should bring that Pokemon School they had in Pokemon Stadium 2! One of the best tutorials in a game, ever.

If it's a main Pokemon game, then I bet it's Pokemon Grey, for the 3DS, bundled with an limited edition grey 3DS (they will have a some fancy name for the grey). Hey, pokemon is a system seller. (EDIT: Oh and it will be due for release by Summer of 2012 I bet, at the earliest)

If it's a spin off/ not a main pokemon game, then I bet it's a Pokemon Colliseum or something like that.
