New PS3 model here it is (Pictures ) ( Rumor )

Well looks like its going to be revealed soon since pics seem legit.. is this the new PS3 mdel?

What seems to be a picture of a weird-looking new PS3 popped up on the site of Anatel (the Brazilian Agency of Telecommunications). The image depicts a PS3-labeled device with a ridged texture and what appears to be a sliding panel on top ? perhaps indicating a cheaper top-loading disc drive.

We can't access the image directly ? the above version is from Tecnoblog ? but the database does bring up a document from Sony Brasil making reference to products CECH-4011A, CECH-4011B and CECH-4011C? which Tecnoblog says corresponds to systems with 16 (!), 250, and 500GB storage. The latest PS3 Slim is the CECH-30xx series

Recently, diagrams popped up on the American FCC website also suggesting a new model of the PS3. Sony declined to comment following that discovery, but we're checking in again today.

Looks even cheaper than the slim model, I guess they want to cheapen production.

Looks ugly. I'll be sticking with the current Slim model.

Maybe that makes sense for you, but from Sony's perspective it makes no sense at all to ship a console that can't be used unless every buyer buys their own hard drive from another manufacturer.

Curious if it has any upgrades, the slim had extra audio options for Home Theatre buffs for instance.

Thats true but i guess we should just see this as a rumor for now ( i think its about 80% true, this is just like what happened with the first slim since it started with rumored pictures and turned out to be true ).. we wont know till its official and besides if it does turns out to be true and has a top insertion for disk like the PS1 and slim PS2 then i'd say for those who want a PS3 to hurry up and buy the current slim :P.

instead of releasing ps4 they're redesigning an almost 7 years console, f***ing smart...... The new model doesn't looks good nor looks slim so why calling it slim?silversix_

Sort of surprised they are coming out with a super slim this soon after the slim was released. It's only been 3 years.

Personally I don't like the look of it, but then if my current slim dies I doubt I would buy another one. Three of the same console in one generation is enough for me.

Apple needs to make a console. Maybe then we will get a console that is not ugly for once. :PShadowDeathX

They actually had one called the Pippin. It failed and even the Jaguar was even kicking its @$$. Just like the PS3, it launched at $599.
