I was able to play NFS Most Wanted (I think, know for sure it was a PS2 NFS because it looked like crap) on my PS3 online. So I know it works but I haven't tried any other PS2 games online.

My socom 2 worked online on my ps3, you might wanna check that again :)

Those rumors may very well be the truth in the future, because it's the 3 things PS3 users want most. But until Sony decides to listen and give the people what they want rumors they will remain.

I have a 40gig one. FF7 and 8 are the only ones that don't work, the PS3 doesn't even atempt to load the disc!

I'll hunt out the discs and give it another shot. ;)

Since the EE is already emulated, I wonder if Sony took out the EE emulation patent to kill any third-party emulation systems (if the patent is broad enough to cover emulation on any platform besides the PS3) and make themselves the only show in town.

I don't really care that much because I have a 60GB Ps3 that already has BC, the only thing I want is cross-game chat, or a party system
