The stats displayed on the article are exactly what has been rumored. DDR 3, 1.2 Teraflop GPU.

Nto surew thow that's suppsoed to beat the PS4, nevermind PC.

Too many people who helped make xbox great arent with microsoft anymore so i have no faith in the brand anymore.

I'm going to take the wait and see approach and think the proof will be in the pudding and by pudding I mean games. The PS3 was meant to be twice as powerful as the 360 in theoretical floating point operations but we never saw that degree performance difference in the real world.

Then it will be too expensive and no one will buy it

The Xbox brand has America in the bag. Kinect is huge with kids and what not, now what this says to MS is that they can get away with a weaker console, more kinect focused as long as they will still get decent multiplats like COD etc.

If the PS4 is weaker then the Xbox I'll be very surprised.

What is going on? RAM in a PC was the least exciting bit of a computer, its gaurenteed cheap and as far as DDR versions go offers the least improvement over any other upgrade (on occasion unnoticeable) Suddenly RAM is the most exciting peice of hardware ever. does this lead me to believe the CPU is crap and no dedicated gpu? just a mish-mash./MBirdy88

Did you read my post well,i say try to build not recycle a PC,in fact the GPU equivalent of the PS4 is $200 dollars,and doesn't have 8GB GDDR5.

Building a console from scratch to beat the PS4 probably like $700+ if nore more,and not all would be apple to apple.

Lol!  Yes. You didn't know this?  There are like 10 different recording apps you can use on PC to record video with minimal or no real impact on frame rate. That's cause PC's have full powered, multi-core desktop CPU's, unlike the PS4, which can only do this by adding another, specialized chip.

There's also capture cards that can be used if you ansolutely need 0 impact on performance.

False..The specs for the xbox720 came out for it already  along with the PS4. The only thing Microsoft can do is match Sony 8GB DDR5 ..if they dont the new xbox720 system will be outdated. If Microsoft do indeed put the 8GB DDR5 they risk delaying their launch and Sony will beat them to the market..

They are - but 8 GBs of DDR3, which is significantly slower than GDDR5. Not to mention the rumors of the next Xbox's OS taking up 3 GBs, that leaves roughly 5 GBs of DDR3 for games, in contrast with the probably 7 or so GBs of GDDR5 on the PS4. It's a significant difference. 

That's a rumor. I don't believe the next Xbox's OS is going to take up that much Ram. The OS's in the 360 only took up about 64mb of Ram.

I think where Sony put their console is where its gonna end. MS could add more features, put in a stronger CPU, GPU, More RAM and all that junk, but the main limiting factor is cost. You can make a console as strong as a PC, but who really wants so spend that much money? I personally believe that PS4/Nextbox will have similar specs with only slight variations.

Yep. Despite having similar CPUs and GPUs made by the same company, the PS4 will blow the Xbox 3 out of the water because reasons.
