:| Thats not even the best screen, besides that this game looks great. Sounds like on hell of an ambitious game which more than i can say about 90% of "next gen" titles. Hopefully this game will be shown in some sort of trailer at GDC Feb6-8.

As for Resistance 2, those look more like publicity shots for the mag than actual screen shots, so I wouldn't get too excited. I am sure it will look good though.

On 1 of the page, there is a like note that say those pictures are in-game. So while the background may be just cgi shots, the smaller pics inside the picture frame are probably ingame.

ratched doesn't have many complicated textures. totally different game too. But uncharted looks hella better than Halo3, although i actually think Halo3 has some excellent graphical features. In Halo3 not everything has that same plastic shine like in other games. Only the things that are supposed to shine, do.

it was definatly one of those moments where i just thought "damn, i really need to play this game." and that doesnt happen a whole lot nowadays. honestly, the campaign to this game so sounds so fresh and original to me.

the way that america never really got out of the great depression, the game is set in the 50's where a lot a games dont take place. when you think about it, this game has a very deep story to it. there is so much that you can learn by reading the documents in the game and other sorts of information.

Bioshock and COD4 are superior games. Resistance is just an average FPS. It isn't meaningful. It isn't innovative. It does NOTHING for the genre. It isn't anything in comparison to Bioshock and COD4. bioshock can go either way, but in no way is resistance better than COD4. sure, they're a little different, but when it comes down to fun factor, call of duty 4 is more fun. it's not healthy if you think the other way.

don't get us wrong. resistance is 1 of 2 games we own on our ps3. it's fantastic in it's own way. but on a whole, to us, the campaign was linear, AI did the same thing every time, checkpoints were terrible, there was no fun factor.

the online is pretty sweet, we just don't think the game was that much better than killzone 1.

lets face it... resistance 1 was a launch game, there for it doesnt really stack up to games released now. IMO

but R2 seems to be building on the good parts of the game and 60 player online, 8 player online co op, bigger levels and a better single player campain isnt adding up for a let down. but lets wait to see the game in motion before we judge, even Lair looked good in the screen shots :)
