New Rummors for Warcraft 4 and its even considered for consoles too

Remember when the rumors said that WoW would come to consoles back in 06:

Don't you think a company would be smart enough to realize that? the new MMO is aimed to be geared towards the casual market. They're making another MMO. Get over it. That doesn't mean they'll drop support for WoW though.

no its always awesome if an rts comes from blizzard. And both the sc and wc rts are different, sc is now the normal way with mass units while wc3 was an rpgrts, even the only one that i know that worked well with that mixture. Its not like you have to buy warcraft.

makes me sad i lost my copy of 3...

MS wont do it, did you guys see what they said about FF14? Not only that but MS is to stuck up to allow Mouse and keyboard support. However Sony allows M/kb and im sure they could make it work for the Wii and Move...Kokuro_Kun

1. We all know there wouldn't be enough people buying a Keyboard/mouse for WC4 to warrant making the game on consoles. Not to mention they would have to program the game in a way that it supports it.

2. I'm not sure the PS3 could handle the number of units/battles that would happen. Yes there has been RTS on consoles such as Halo Wars on the 360 but it doesn't even compare to the battles found in WC3.

3. Don't think there's enough of a fanbase on consoles for RTS games.

I'm not 100% sure about this but they have their seperate groups for each game. I don't think it's all the same people who work on each series.

And the Warcraft Series is amazing. It's a completely different style of gameplay than Starcraft and a lot of people love it. It's not dying anytime soon nor should it.

of course they're not gonna do a warcraft game. it would impact starcraft 2 sales, in the end, it boils down to the simple question: is this a good business decision? and the answer is obviously NO. at least for now...theBeorn

I would love Warcraft IV ... as long as it was more like Warcraft II (awesome!) and not so much Warcraft III (not quite so awesome).

And for all you saying a console version will never exist and spell doom for the franchise, I'd just like to point out that Warcraft II and Starcraft were on consoles as well.

Why Blizzard should care if people would jump from WoW to their new MMO? They are still playing Blizzard's MMO. Also, making a totally different MMO compared to WoW will probably bring them new players who aren't interested in WoW. Only risk they have is that the new MMO will flop, but knowing Blizzard's talent and fan base I think that's unlikely. And even if it did, Blizzard still have WoW and their other games.

RTS could be made to work on Kinect and Move. I don't think KB/M is required.
