New screenshots of The Order 1886. Holy crap!

People wondering about the res. The game will be running at 1080p but with black bars top and bottom to give it a movie look. This will make the res look like 1920x800 when you remove the black bars but that's not the native res it's running at. It's still running at 1080p just with the image cropped so to speak

Or at least that's what I understand from the info so far. I'm perfectly fine with it, makes it look distinctive which is a good thing if it's just gonna be another TPS Gears style game

PS4 games run in 533p confirmed.

God that black bar idea is stupid. It doesn't make it like a movie, it makes it like a video game that blacks out parts of the screen for no reason.

That looks... underwhelming, when it comes to PS4 visuals, much more impressed with KZSF, which still remains easily the best looking PS4 game announced so far.

No, it's 1920x800 native. Why use pixels where you can't even see? That'd be a complete waste.

It's the same kind of technique that was in Dragon's dogma. Lots of games used it near the end of the generation actually. But in the case of this game it's a design choice, before it was just to get a little bit extra out of the hardware. This game also gets that benefit, of course!

I'm wishing more Gears than RE. This one is on my radar. I like the setting. I have the latest GI digital issue, looks like I have to check it out.

I'm not going to go gaga over it before I see gameplay though. Hoping its at least more open than it appears.

Know almost nothing about this game, but it's the most exciting exclusive for next gen imo. New IP, Victorian London, cool costumes, some TPS stuff going on. Could be good.

RaD has made great PSP games , though I only played Daxter, I am looking forward to their first console game.

I kind of like the art-style.

Perhaps, being young, you only played the console version and are unaware the PC textures about about X4 the quality with SSOA, tessellation TXAA and other effects?

As a pc gamer, I'm really... quite impressed.

Hopefully the game is more of a survival horror than being run and shoot.

And are we forgetting that this game is being made by a dev that all they have ever done were the PSP GOW games. Im not expecting a whole lot from them, and neither should anyone.
