Its getting IMPROVEMENTS to gameplay and graphics. gameplay will get a bigger improvement than graphics, and they're marginalizing the improvment to graphics in favour for a drastic change to the gameplay. I haven't said the gameplay or graphics are going to be abd at ALL. I said, "They're going to be improved" technically.Vandalvideo
I'm not sure you know yourself what the hell you're saying or meaning. It's not even like the game looks bad, in fact it looks quite fantastic, so I don't quite get what you're whining about. All I get out of it is: "Conviction is bad because they focused on possibly revolutionary gameplay mechanics rather than adding more polygons to Sam's nostrils."
[QUOTE="RevenMan"][QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="hazuki87"]I never said it was going to be a cheap cash in, nor did I bash the game itself. I merely said that it looks like after releasing a game on the Wii they realize they can make just as much profit purely focusing on gameplay enhancements, either good or bad, and forgetting about graphical enhancements. The vandal guy here seems to have a habit of bashing games simply for being on the 360. He reads about the new game and the features they're putting in and says "sounds like its gonna be a cheap cash in like the Wii version" seriosuly. how do you get that?

Probably makes some of the worst arguments I've ever heard on this forum and thats saying something.

Have you even seen how the game looks? It dosen't mean when they say that they will be focusing on gameplay, physics, ai etc the graphics will suck. I really enjoy the splinter cell series and im looking forward to this one.
I didn't say any part of the game is going to suck. I merely said they're focusing more on phyiscs, gameplay, AI etc than they are graphics.Â
Actually you quite clearly implied it would suck (lackluster is what I believe you said). Youre first post is still there, I'd edit or delete it before making claims contrary to it.Â
Do I have to break it down for you? I merely restated the original bulletin just emphasizing certain parts. In the original bulletin, they said they are focusing less on graphics and more on gameplay. Vandalvideo
They then said they are trying to improve gameplay through physics and AI. "Lackluster improvements to controls and immersion" I haven't necessarily bashed the game itself yet.Vandalvideo

Apparently not in this guys mind, he "emphasizing the potential strengths"

Vandal: If we're not supposed to construe "completely uninspired" as a bash on the game, what are we supposed to see it as? You also might want to note that the post said that they weren't just focusing on graphics, not that they weren't focusing on graphics at all. Especially considering you haven't seen the game at all, how would you know how much resources they are or are not putting into graphics?
I don't know exactly how this game will work, but it sounds pretty cool. A lot like Assassin's Creed, perhaps, but this method seems like an interesting way of really ratcheting up the pace in Splinter Cell games, and increasing the variety in gameplay. Multiplayer with this sort of method in mind could be especially interesting. Â
