I like new super mario bros wii more as a platformer
however you can get a lot more hours of enjoyment out of LBP. So in the end Id have to say I could go either way on it.

[QUOTE="Ringx55"]I'm still not understanding with what is wrong with LBP's controls. Do people really just hate floaty games....?Foliage-KingIts cause it doesnt play like mario. I love both games and there control schemes in relation to gameplay.
Exactly, they both go perfectly together for what they're trying to do. I guess people don't enjoy the fact ti doesn't play as the typical platformer..... People never truly like change I guess (most).

Because LBP has real physics?NSMBWii because the controls aren't bad.
They feel really off in LBP.

Well, LBP2 is supposed to come out this year isn't it? LBP is one of the best games this gen imo, but you may as well wait for the sequel. Supposedly, all the levels already created will work in it, so the only thing you'd be missing is the SP levels, which have been out done and out shined by user made levels many times over anyway.
One might say that floaty controls are appropriate for a game featuring bags of fluff.

well:
1) it does? doesn't feel like it.
2) we(or at least i don't) don't play videogames for realism, now do we?

We can play games for a variety of reasons. LBP always bosted real physics and encouraged players to design levels that required puzzle solving based on physics in order to progress. It's just part of what sets the game apart, and variety within the industry isn't a bad thing.
I voted LBP - the campaign was decent, but with 3 friends playing some of the user created levels its one of my favorite games out there. In the end this thread will soon be made slightly redundant - in LBP2 u will be able to mess with the gravity to get rid of the 'floaty' feel that most of the complaints refer too, even to the point where it'll fell like mario. And so, LBP2 will be king :-D
I love both of these games, and I own both of these games. I have almost all the star coins in NSuper Mario Wii. However, that game is SOOOO FRUSTERATING after the second world with people.
LBP offers so much more imo, the co - op is better designed, and it's ONLINE so you can play with friends online...not to mention the custom words to create and share online as well (over a million). Both are great games, and you will have fun no matter what, but I would go with LBP.
Gamespot agrees with my assessment.
LBP 9.0AAAE > NSMW8.5AAE :P
The vast majority of the world's critics agree with my assessment as well.
LBP 95/100>NSMW 87/100.
