new take on the console vs PC

Consoles close to PC graphics? These sceenshots taken off my PC minutes ago tell a different story:

PC owns Consoles... End of story... Jabroni ^.-
In all seriousness PC has more games, there cheaper, better graphics, etc etc

What you might forget (if your stupid) is the a PC can do 100x more things than a console.
PC can do: Games, Movies, Internet, Word Processing, Buisness, School Works, 100's of programs and what not.
Console can: Play games and some can watch movies?
Its also proven that PC has much better graphics.

I don't understand the anti-pc sentiment, it has contributed alot to improving consoles. It's not like it's in competition.

Besides, you dumb our mighty pc games down, we can legitimately hate them, it's ok.

Most everyone has a desktop pc. With the exception of the crappy x2000 and 8000 midrange cards last gen, $200 has bought you a card that can run most games well. This gen we have a card for $200 that is faster than the 8800gtx of last gen (the awesome 4850.) Add in $30 for an upgraded power supply and you can run ANY pc game. The only reason not to be a pc gamer this is if you just aren't interested in the games, only use a laptop, or if you don't want to go to the trouble cause its too complex for them.

All 3 are valid reasons. With Amd's new cards, price really isn't anymore.

Price IS an option I'm 16...I can't afford all that stuff, I already have a wii60 so one more would be too much for me. I'd love to have a gaming pc. But the 200-400$ I can spend on upgrading my comp I could buy 360 or wii games. I'm jelous of your mods:P

To me, cost is not a debatable issue as gaming is a hobby and price would not be a deciding factor.

But, Hermits really need to get over themselves and accept the fact that consoles are the representatives of Gaming, despite all minor details like better graphics and/or controls.

I am ****** sick of hearing about Crisis. Is that the only card hermits like to play? I rarely see pc treads on here but when I see hermits post its 99% crisis. This is more played out than Kz2 and gears2 treads. Greas2 and kz2 are not out, crisis has been out for quit some time, get some new material.lolkie_81

Also, where are all these RECENT Crysis related threads you're mentioning? I haven't seen much in a while. I would also like to note that Crysis is nowhere near the pinnacle of PC gaming this gen. Not close.

ades that does cost alot (more than a console anyway) is it really worth it to be ahead for a few years?

if you look at the standard of PC games graphics just casting asside crysis for the moment, the graphicaly difference isnt that much. so is it just more of a Keyboard & Mouse Vs Controller?

While the graphics help, it's never been about the graphics for me. I enjoy the PC games much more, games like Planescape Torment, Warcraft 3, Heroes of Might & Magic series, X3-Reunion, Neverwinter Nights 2 and all the cool indy titles and freewares make me lean towards PC. Graphics & Controls are only secondary. I'm not saying I don't like consoles, sometimes I miss console games like fighting games, but they are happily coming out on PC this generation.hamidious

Me too, I prefer PCgaming because of it's games and consoles simply completely fail at being a good replacement of gaming PC

Most threads are console fans puttin up console "game X vs Crysis" not the other way around. Then you have a lot of other great games for PC threads.
